We had a wonderful stay at this home. We also rented the additional cabin on the property which i would highly recommend doing for ultimate privacy. House had everything you could need. Also great fishing right in front. Location was wonderful, close to town and national forest. Yellowstone is a short drive away.
Our stay was amazing. DeeDee and Dave are great hosts and the property is exceptional. The view from the porch of both the mountains and the river is phenomenal. The location is convenient to Bozeman, Livingston and the Yellowstone Park. I can't say enough about the great experience we had at this property. Thanks again DeeDee and Dave for providing this opportunity!
We had such a great time at your cabin. It was very clean and very well stocked. We absolutely loved sitting on the porch watching the river. So beautiful, so peaceful. We saw many deer walk through the yard and we were able to view the osprey nest from the driveway.
Yellowstone’s northern entrance was about 45 away, easy and pretty drive. We also hiked up to Pine Creek Falls-beautiful waterfall only minutes from the cabin.
We hope to rent again in the future!
This property more than exceeded our expectations. First, the location. Situated right on the Yellowstone river with mountains in all directions. Easy to access without 4 wheel drive but also only 15-20 minutes to the upper mountains perfect for 4 wheeling or sledding. We were able to do a winter hike to frozen falls, use our quad, and go sledding though the actual house had very little snow. The best of both worlds.
The house itself was amazing. Well appointed and well thought out. Beds were comfortable, towels good quality, extra soap and toiletries were provided. There were plenty of board games for evenings with the family and yard games. A wood burning stove kept the house warm and cozy.
All of the little extras were well thought out. Oatmeal packets, granola, drinks. There were spare diapers and a pack'n'play just in case. (We had no babies with us but as a mom of 6 I notice the little things like that.) There were lots of coffee table books and DVDs as well as Netflix and Amazon.
And the best little extra...a warm bison chili, homemade cornbread, and a s'more casserole awaiting our arrival. I think we might have a new Christmas tradition!
My family stayed at Meg & Dee Dee's river home property for 3 nights. The home was clean and stocked with plenty of everything needed for a group of us (4 college boys and 3 grown ups :)). Comfortable and well maintained furniture with a nice rustic Montana flair. Firepit was a big hit and so was the indoor wood stove. The boys took their fishing rods down to the river and caught and released a couple of trout. Breathtaking beauty - deer everywhere - truly awesome. We headed into downtown Livingston on a Sunday. Not sure if the town is normally closed on Sunday or COVID has hit it hard - but pretty much nothing was open. However, other than that it's a cute small town. My only constructive comment would be that there is only 1 walk in shower. For the 6 of us, it was a bit challenging. The handheld shower head didn't really work for us since the boys are all over 6 feet. Everyone ended up using the master shower. I would recommend adding a mounted showerhead to the common bath. The induction appliances looked new and are great, but not many people know how to use them. Some operating instructions would be helpful. Megan and Dee Dee were super quick to respond to any questions. It's a peaceful, fun and lovely place to get away. We would definitely stay there again.
We were in MT for our daughter’s wedding and stayed here for the week prior and had a wonderful time. Amazing property with fantastic views. We had a great time and are looking forward to returning.
We had an amazing stay! We were in town for a wedding and the property was close to Copper Rose Ranch where the ceremony was hosted. Beautiful home, amazing setting, excellent views of the mountain ranges and can’t beat being on the Yellowstone River. Host was incredible to deal with, attentive and easy to work with. Highly recommend this property.
Our stay was amazing and so peaceful! Dee Dee was so kind and accommodating. She helped me find a gluten free cake for my MIL’s 80th birthday and set up a beautiful table to help us celebrate. The views around the property are breathtaking in every direction! We look forward to a return visit.
This property is gorgeous, the views, the wild life and the main house as well as the small cabin are so perfect! Not to mention DeeDee and Dave were soo amazing and helpful!
Made sure we had all the decorations and settings we needed to make our wedding day perfect!
Will definitely be coming back and we can’t wait!! ❤️❤️❤️
What a beautiful location for our family to meet for a Montana Christmas! The cabin is welcoming and beautifully decorated, and the views of the Yellowstone River and nearby mountains were stunning. Dee Dee went above and beyond adding seasonal decorations for our Christmas celebrations and meeting all of our needs while we stayed at the cabin. Highly recommend, and we hope to get back sometime in the summer!
Great accommodations in a beautiful setting. Kitchen is well prepared for any meals you want to prepare. Location is very convenient to the Park as well as other local activities. Owners are nearby and very helpful. Will definitely book again.
Great property minutes from Yellowstone Gardiner entrance!
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin bordered by the beautiful Yellowstone River. The house was clean, spacious, and more importantly the rustic feel we expected in Paradise Valley. The reservation exceeded our expectation
My family of 4 were enamored by this property from the moment we walked into the house. The pictures in the listing are very accurate of the house and property. There was more than enough space for all of us to be so comfortable we didn't want to leave. The views of the mountains and river are enough, but the location allows for so many activities. We tubed down the river, fished, took day trips to Yellowstone Park, hiked, etc. It was truly spectacular. One of our favorite activities was just sitting on the back deck looking at wildlife and watching the river/views. The amenities and added touches were above and beyond - snacks, cooking supplies, condiments/spices, etc. Would definitely book this place again.
We had an amazing vacation at this wonderful Montana cabin right on the Yellowstone River. There were inner tubes for us to use and the house has everything you would need for a great time. The house is in wonderful condition and the owners are extremely attentive and responsive. We would definitely come again.
After not being able to get together for well over a year due to COVID, we couldn't have picked a better spot to stay for our family vacation. We rented both the main house and fishing cabin and both were fantastic - clean, stocked with anything we could need, and the views are incredible. Dee Dee and family were great and always available if we had questions. The perfect place to stay - we would recommend it to anyone and definitely will be back next time we're in the area!
The cabin is lovely. There were mule deer in the yard. Geese were on the other side of the river. It was peaceful and relaxing. Family enjoyed day trips to Yellowstone National Park.
This stunning property was the perfect place to stay. It was very spacious but still felt warm and cozy. It’s a nature lovers dream with the deer and other wildlife coming into the yard as you enjoy your morning coffee. I stayed a month and will certainly return.

*******348 FIVE STAR REVIEWS****** LET US SPOIL YOU!!!! My family has been in the hospitality business since 2012. This home was our family home from 2014 to 2018. Our Riverside Log Home also has a cabin next door that can be rented for larger groups (Fishing Cabin vrbo#654520) Rent both properties for larger families at a discount.
I have lived in Paradise Valley since 2012. MSU is my Alma Mater, "Go Cats". I strongly believe that to achieve the greatest level of happiness one should follow their passion. I feel truly blessed to live my passion daily in helping others have the vacation of a lifetime.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property because we fell in love with the location. The cabins are just a few steps away from the river, walking distance to a sandy beach day use area and boat ramp. For the vacation of a lifetime rent the Retreat (sleeps 10) and add the Fishing Cabin for additional guests. While the cabins are only separated by a short distance, the homes are set up perfectly for both individual privacy or large family closeness. There is a fence between the two cabins, allowing for the ultimate in privacy.
What makes this property unique
This 5 acre property is situated on the Yellowstone River. The Riverside Log Home has been completely remodeled. Adjacent to this is a 2 story log cabin (check out vrbo #654520) that can be rented at a discount when renting the main house. There are many amenities included in this rental, far beyond what is typically included.
