This was a great fall trip. The best part was the large screened in porch. With the sounds of the creek right there. Sunny or raining it was the best place to sit and relax. The only thing that could improve the porch would be a day bed. The location is perfect.
Love the cabin. Cabin was stocked with essentials. Simple but plenty accommodations. . Love the creek. Swimming and just relaxing. Love the screen porch .
Our fifth year at this cabin, the water was high for excellent tubing, it was warm enough for great swimming, the weather was cooperative. We love the time on the screened porch watching the water, making s'mores at the firepit, and walking together at sundown. A true 3 generation family vacation. Thanks to Sharon for always responding immediately to texts and emails.
Comfy cabin and great location! Cabin had all necessities and was perfect for our family of 6. Location is remote, quiet, and perfect for relaxing and appreciating the people around you and the great outdoors. Creek across the small road was lots of fun — fishing, swimming, and joyous tubing! Fire pit was great. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The location is superb, remote, peaceful with the brook in the background. We had a blast rivertubing - there are about 5 tubes and a pump in the shed. The outside porch is all screened in so its very pleasant and relaxing.
3rd year at this terrific riverfront gem. Water was excellent for swimming and tubing and the weather was great.
Saw an eagle couple for the third year in a row, a high point for the oldest granchild.
Thank you to Sharon and family for making this awesome experience possible for us.
We had such a relaxing time, surrounded by nature! Went fishing and swimming in the river. The wrap around screened-in porch was heaven. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cabin with us. We had a wonderful time!
Love staying here. House is exactly as advertised, cabin in the woods on a beautiful creek! Only downside is water. Sulfer content is extreme and makes smell of water quite bad. Owners supply fresh water which is awesome!
Anniversary surprise for my hubby!! Perfect cabin on the water!!
I surprised my hubby for our 23 Anniversary with a 2 night stay in the cabin. It was the perfect getaway for us! If you want the little bit of being in a log cabing and feeling of still being able to cook, this is the perfect place! It has a rustic charm. There is no hot tub though. They have everything else you could want! .
Loved being disconnected but there were some hiccups
I stayed with my boyfriend and it was super beautiful and relaxing. While I loved how rustic the house was, the old spring loaded lock on the front door automatically locks the door when you shut it and I was unaware of this feature. So be wary of this. We were locked out for hours, and with no service it was extremely hard to contact the host. Besides that hiccup on the first night, we had a great time. Neighbors are very friendly as well.
Fourth year staying a week at this cabin. Despite the excessive heat (upper 90s) the air conditioning holds the cabin at a reasonable temperature. We always see plenty of wildlife, and tubing and playing in the water are a great way to spend our "vacation from electronics" week. Thank you Sharon, for sharing your treasure with us every summer.
Everything was awesome, going down the river every day was so much fun. Not having phone service was great for us. Everything was clean except porch had cobwebs around the top of screens but nothing that will stop us from returning. Shavon the host was friendly and communicated every step of the way. Can’t wait for the second vacation here.
This was such a rare find and it’s even more beautiful than the photos. It’s the perfect cabin in an absolutely gorgeous riverside location. I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s cozy, clean, and although it was just my wife and I on this trip, it’s certainly large enough to accommodate our large family (6 kids) for our next booking. Sharon was a great host. We had everything we needed at the cabin. I only wish that we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend it.
A wonderful retreat to unwind. The cabin was beautiful as well as the porch view of the creek. I wish I could have stayed longer. I could never get tired of this type of setting. As a recent cancer survivor I could honestly say it was just what the doctor ordered. I would highly recommend this slice of heaven to anyone who needs time away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Thank you Sharon for being a wonderful host. I would truly love to come back again.

Thanks Wayne. I’m so grateful you could get away and relax!
A quiet location! Great for fishing and sitting around the bonfire! We tried tubing on the creek, but water level to low. Comfortable beds. A few small issues addressed by homeowner quickly. Water to drink and propane supplied by homeowner. Wanted a few days away from cell phones and internet - so this was perfect. Bring along your own non stick fry pan, but other then that, kitchen well equipped!
My cousins and I, ranging in age from 55-67, had a very relaxing, fun-filled stay at the cabin. It was very peaceful. The cabin was rustic and had the scent of the wood burning fireplace. It was the type of lodging we were hoping it would be. The creek runs in front of the cabin and has plenty of grassy space along the rocky bank for sitting in a chair, relaxing, and talking. We spent hours there. We were able to catch some small fish which was a bonus. We also utilized the Weber grill and enjoyed a night around the fire pit. The owner, Sharon, is a great communicator. She made sure we had all of the information we needed to plan for our trip. Thanks to Sharon, we were well prepared and didn’t have to make a single trip into town.
Sharon's put some thought into the decor to make this cabin feel like a home. The furnishings were very comfortable. We especially liked the snuggly fleece throws. The location is very private but not remote--something we were very happy for. There are cabins nearby but you hardly notice them because of the trees and shrubs. Across the gravel road is the Creek which you can watch from the porch and hear as soothing background all night. Plenty of heat in case you are there in a cold snap as we were. Easy trip to hiking trails. The tap water is not potable but fresh water is provided or you can bring your own bottles. The tap water has a definite sulfur smell when hot and if you are sensitive it might not suit you. We had no issues with cell phone service and could stream music and make calls but that could be hit or miss. Thanks Sharon!
This place is very cool! My teenage son who loves to fish and loved the rustic vibe of the place was sad we only could stay 2 nights before going onto the next place! We all loved the outside wrap around screened in porch with fairy lights so we could be "outside" and still comfy and not get chewed up! We loved the stream running in front of the property and threw some lines in and caught a few small fish as well!!! A few pan fish, a creek chub and even a small mouth bass!!! I know some mention the sulfer smell to the water when showering, but we found it to be very faint, and I didnt notice it much at all...the host provides water for drinking which was great! The kitchen has everything you need! They even had coffee and filters at the ready! They also have a coffe bean grinder and a coffee press for those who get fancy with theor coffee making :) I would highly recommned this place, and if we are ever back this way again, we would love to stay again! Sharon was an amazing communicator as well!
We love it.. was the best weekend ever, you have everything in the cabin, the river was amazing.. my kids love the place and River..

About the host

We grew up in more rural areas (PA and Ontario) but ended up in NYC. This cabin allows us a place to escape, unwind, and enjoy time with our family and friends.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this cabin as a family vacation home to escape the concrete jungle and enjoy the beauty of creation. We hope you too enjoy this authentic log cabin and the chance to get off the grid and enjoy time with each other.
What makes this property unique
A log cabin with wonderful amenities right across from a creek in the midst of beautiful nature is hard to fine. When we found this gem, we were so delighted!
