Casa Spadaro - Luxury Amara Beachfront Penthouse with private rooftop terrace

The view from the 15th and 16th floor of this Penthouse is breathtaking! It is truly paradise here. Picture yourself relaxing on a private terrace at the top with 180 degree view of the ocean. Or, perhaps, admiring a spectacular sunset while in the private jacuzzi on the upstairs terrace. Words just can't describe the natural beauty of the little piece of heaven known as the Mexican Riviera. It's the perfect place to relax and enjoy a carefree vacation.

The penthouse offers 4200 sq. ft. between 15th and 16th floors. You enter into a large living room and dining room with floor to ceiling glass sliders that open up from either side allowing you to bring the outdoors in. There are two Master Bedrooms each facing the ocean where you can step out onto the terrace to welcome another day in paradise. There are two more bedrooms facing the golf course and have a lush tropical view where you can also see the heart of Ixtapa across the street. The newest bedroom is on our rooftop terrace. The towers were designed where there are only 2 residences per floor so you will have privacy and be able to have the best of both worlds, oceanview and tropical beauty.

The location is right in the heart of Ixtapa. You can walk to restaurants, nightclubs, boutiques, shops, grocery stores, and drug stores. Amara Ixtapa is a new development located right on the main Ixtapa Beach, Playa El Palmar, where you will have all the amenities of a luxury resort, including daily maid service.

Guests can take the elevator down to beautifully landscaped grounds that includes 3 pools, one huge infinity pool for families that feels like it goes right into the ocean, another infinity pool for adults only, and a small wading pool for children. Guests can enjoy very reasonably priced drinks and snacks made by Amara's own bartenders. There is a gate that leads right to the sand where guests can enjoy private palapa's with lounge chairs.

Once you have discovered the beauty of Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo, you will fall in love with this amazing place and return time and time again. Our hope is that you enjoy every minute of your stay in Casa Spadaro at Amara.

The pink lotus!

This was a family trip with adult children in their 30s. The accommodations were perfect and everyone enjoyed the second floor balcony overlooking it beach just absolutely breathtaking. We were in walking distance to all of the restaurants . We will definitely be going back!

What a spectacular penthouse with all the amenities anyone could want! This spot in beautiful Ixtapa is like having your own home in paradise. The views, the beach, the weather...perfection! Everyone is super friendly and we felt so spoiled. We are definitely coming back to this amazing place!

STUNNING!!

Barbara and Giorgio's home was the absolute perfect getaway for our fanily vacation. The views were out of this world, kitchen was well stocked. Communication was was very easy and location was ideal. Definitely one of our favorites vacation homes we've stayed in. We will most definitely be returning.

Great spot for families!

Barbara was very flexible to work with after Delta unexpectedly canceled our flight. We were able to shift to Alaska, but on a different day. Barbara was gracious in allowing us to time shift. Claudia our concierge was fabulous too. The condo is in a wonderful central location on the beach in Ixtapa and has a stunning view. Plenty of room for everyone. Highly recommended!

Amazing oceanfront penthouse

The penthouse is well appointed with nice furnishings, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The roof top deck is amazing with spa, bar and comfortable seating .There was plenty of room for 4 couples. It was a pleasure working with Barbara, the owner, as she was very responsive and answered all our questions promptly. The complex is beautifully maintained and secure. The pool area is also spacious with a great palapa for drinks and snacks. The staff are so accommodating and provide great service.

Absolutely stunning!

Casa Spadero offers the best view in Ixtapa! We enjoyed our stay and will definitly return! The oceanfront bedrooms are a luxurious retreat! The home is clean, decorated beautifully,well stocked with utensils,condiments,seasonings,etc. We loved having cocktails on the penthouse in the evengs and enjoying that amazing sunset . The office is very accommodating with any information and needs you may have. The resyaurants we went to were top Notch. The new casual taco place next to Senioe Frogs was ggod and cheap. The views of El Faro,Kal Kan, Il Mare, are breathtaking and the food,excellent. The breakfasts of both Daniels on the beach in Zihuat and downtown Carmelita's were wonderful. We had a beautiful week! You wont find a better beach with better weather anywhere! Love Ixtapa!

Paradise by the Sea

We rented this condo to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary with our family. We wanted to stay someplace special to commemorate the event and we got it with this condo! The condo sits on the top floor of a private, gated complex. The bedrooms were spacious and it was nice having 5 bathrooms. The condo was clean and tidy. The daily maid service was a plus. On the second level of the condo was a private patio complete with a cooling jetted tub and lawn chairs. The most amazing part of this condo is the view! We watched the sun set over the Pacific Ocean every night from the patio. It was incredible! We would definitely recommend this condo to anyone who wants a private, safe get-away. Restaurants, shops, grocery store and banks are a short walk away. We hired a cook one night to make us an authentic mexican meal in the condo. Very reasonable. We also went bike riding, parasailing, swimming with dolphins, shopping, snorkeling at Isle Ixtapa and to Zihuatanejo. The weather was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better trip.

A Simply Spectacular Vacation

Though the photos on the website gave us some idea of the stunning views of this penthouse suite, they could not fully capture the beauty we experienced when we first walked in - and then savored all week long. This magnificent place provided great rest for our family including comfortable pool, gorgeous long beach to walk on, great couches and beds to relax on, and most of all, a terrace with a breathtaking view. The short walk across the street offers a multitude of excellent restaurants for dinner. All of the people who work at Amara could not have been more friendly, helpful, or competent. And even though we were there during Spring Break in late March, the place did not ever feel overly crowded either on the beach or in town. I would highly recommend these restaurants: El Faro (with a cable ride afterwards down to the beach), Emilios, Mama Nora and Deborahs, Chili Beans for breakfast, and Del Tascana for Italian food. If you want a truly spectacular evening, book dinner at sunset at La Casa que Canta - I had a birthday dinner there I will never forget. This property is totally as advertised, clean and well maintained. The owners are extremely helpful with answering any questions or concerns. I hope someday we get to return!

7 weeks in Paradise

My wife, I and our two young children (2 years and 8 months old) had the opportunity to spend the majority of the winter in this absolutely fantastic condo. I can not say enough about the condo, it is everything as advertised. What we did not expect was the great staff at Amara who became like family and literally had our children in tears when leaving. The other owners we met were incredible as well, and have become good friends. This was our 16th year visiting Ixtapa and the first time not at a resort. I will never think of staying anywhere else again. The condo was spacious and well appointed, with everything we needed for our stay. They even provided a pack and play. During our stay we had various friends & family members come for visits, they all left thinking it was the best vacation they had ever had. The rooftop grill was put to use almost nightly to cook fresh Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, or shrimp. There is no better sunset in the world, then every night on the rooftop with a cold cerveza in hand. Whether a group of adults or families with children, I think you would be hard pressed to find better place for your vacation. The onsite management was beyond professional and made sure that any concern was addressed in a timely manner. I only hope that we can do this again in the future.

Never to be forgotten!!!

We stayed at this Amara beach front penthouse at the end on January/early February. This family vacation was one of the best we have ever taken. The penthouse was impecable. It was very clean, spacious and had everything we could ever need. We can tell the owners take great pride in their place and we are so thankful for their hospitality. The penthouse its self is remarkable. The furnishing are in great condition and the beds are very comfortable. We very much appreciated the daily maid service. She was wonderful to us. We felt very spoiled. The grounds of Amara are amazing. The pools, beach front, bar, etc. are wonderful. The pictures just dont do it justice! The location is perfect and has everything you would need within walking distance. We would eat in for breakfast and lunch everyday and have dinner out on the town. The kitchen in the penthouse had everything we needed for cooking, all we had to do was make a quick trip to the grocery store! We had 2 kids ages 6 and 11 and adults and grandparents on this vacation and I can honestly say this was the perfect place to stay. We will come back to Ixtapa again next year and will hope to stay at this Amara penthouse again. Ixtapa is the perfect place for vacationing. We were so pleased with our stay. Do not delay, book this place! You will not be disappointed!!!!!

AMAZING , BEAUTIFUL, SPECTACULAR!!

Pictures And words and great reviews do not even come close to the beauty and serene wonderful experience of this home ! Once you walk through the front door of the penthouse home , the views and ocean air awaits you and completely takes over ! Instant relaxation ! Not only are the bedrooms and beds comfortable and the kitchen is large amd modern and amazing and has everything you need to make your stay good if you choose to cook some great meals. But then you go upstairs and you have an outdoor experience like no other !!! The outdoor couches and lounge chairs with a jacuzzi and barbecue area with a large table is amazing !!! Then you go down to the beautiful infinity adult pool overspilling onto the view of the ocean and white sand beach ! There is a separate pool for kids which is even bigger ! The cocktail service under the palapa and the staff are incredible ! If you choose to sit and lay out at the beach , there is beach front access with lounge chairs ! All of the activities are right there also , wave runners , parasailing and a long stretch of beach to walk! There are also massages on the beach a short walk away ! The owners are amazing and will answer any questions you have to make your stay perfect ! They provide you a list of restaurants and activities that they have been to and like the best ! There is a shopping center right across the street walking distance with everything you need from markets , to restaurants and shops I can't wait to go back with my family to this truly amazing house I call Paradise !!

Love this place!

We have stayed in the Penthouse multiple times and it never disappoints. The unit is beautiful, well maintained and equipped with everything you could need. We use the rooftop grill and patio often. And the location is great for enjoying many of the great restaurants if you don’t want to cook. We can’t wait for our next visit.

Amara family vacation.

Had a great time at Casa Spadero!! We had 10 people in our group and we did not feel crowded at all, plenty of space for all. We choose to do several activities, fishing, a trip to ixtapa Island, and atv trip. Walking around town for meals was easy and we never felt unsafe. Many great places to eat in easy walking distance at very reasonable prices. Would recommend Casa Spades and we would go back again!!

great for a family vacation

Casa Spadaro, the unit we stayed in was spacious, well laid out for families and the kitchen was well stocked for those cooking in meals. The location of Amara resort was easy access to the beach and the restaurants and shops. Our unit had a rooftop equipped with a grill, a small soaking pool and a lovely, spacious sitting area with awnings. All 5 bedrooms had ensuites or private bathrooms, which was wonderfull as we vacationed with our 2 children, their spouses and our 4 grandchildren. We didn't spend much time indoors but with young children, an afternoon break was often welcomed. Believe it or not, there was lots of space for everyone in the unit. Our vacation included New Years and our view of the fireworks from the penthouse rooftop was amazing. Our owner and property manager also arranged for a cook to come in on New Year's Eve and cook us a Mexican feast. Most enjoyable! Only drawback is the resort policy of only 2 lounge chairs by the per unit so if you are staying at a busy time, you have to be flexible - we had 6 adults and 4 children.

This is our second trip back to Giorgio & Barbara's most wonderful place! This penthouse is situated so that every morning you can have coffee on the massive balcony and still be in the shade. Sun does not start to fall on the place until noon or later. This couples with the BEST sunset you will ever experience as the sun threads between the Ixtapa islands and rocks in front of their home. Could not be more pituresque! The Amara staff are simply the best. Kind and helpful and always giving you a little help if needed. Maribel the housekeeper is a wonderful person who is also more than a housekeeper, but a friend and helpful in making sure your day is going well! The house is amazing! Everything in place and well maintained! Every morning we went out for a walk along the beach and I asked myself where would I prefer to stay? I could not figure out any other place better. Immediately behind the Amara is an area of many restaurants and stores. Zihuah is just a quick taxi ride away. Two of my children wanted to do surfing lessons this trip, so we went up to Troncones and learned to surf with Arturo the Surf Instructor. We also went to Pantla and did the ATV tour with Beli. Amazing tour that is well worth what you pay! It is hours of ATV riding and you get to see so much of the natural rivers, farms, beaches and rural Mexico. Hopefully we can make another trip back soon!

My favorite spot!!!

We love coming to Ixtapa and love this penthouse. We have stayed in other units at the Amara that are great but for a big group this is the BEST!!!

We fell in love with Ixtapa in 2001. After vacationing there time and time again, we decided to buy our own little piece of paradise, Casa Spadaro. We are the original owners of our home at Amara and can't be happier with our decision. One day our dream would be to spend four or five months a year there, but since we have kids, that will have to wait a bit.
The warmth of the people in Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo is unlike any we have experienced in our travels. We have thoughtfully furnished our home with many amenities that we know you will enjoy. We take pride in providing prompt responses to our potential guests either via email or phone.
We would love to open up our home to you and your family and friends to enjoy a wonderful vacation in sunny Ixtapa. Please come visit. We think you will be happy you did!

Why they chose this property

We feel that it is in the best location in Ixtapa. We are right in the middle of the main beach and right across the street from restaurants, shopping and entertainment in Ixtapa.

What makes this property unique

All the privacy and incredible ocean views you'd want from a penthouse unit and, yet, just an elevator ride down to the common pool, palapa bar and gorgeous beach.

Doesn't get better than that, in our humble opinions.
