About this property

Heart of Historical Florence

Unique and traditional style 13th century 3 bedroom spacious apartment just next to the Arno and Piazza Santa Croce.

Very quiet and private apartment within the heart of historical Florence; The apartment is located less then 5 minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Signoria, and approximately 10/15 minutes walk to the Duomo.

This first floor apartment is on Corso dei Tinori. A lovely and typical street known for its 12th and 13th century history of tinting wool and silk next to the river and the 'Arte dei Tintori'. There are wonderful bars, restaurants, trattorias, gelato shops and typical caffés surrounding this area.

The apartment has been carefully and traditionally renovated, and has air conditioning and heating in every room. It has a quirky and interesting lay out with original beams, stone exposure, original shutters, antique furnishings and original flooring in places. It’s full of character for a unique stay in the heart of historical Florence.

Access to the third bedroom and second bathroom is through a 1.6m beamed study. Living room and second bedroom look out to each other across a courtyard and double French shuttered doors.

Fully functional and equipped modern bathrooms and kitchen and expendable dining space within the living area.

PLEASE NOTE CITY TAX IS NOT INCLUDED AND MUST BE PAID ON ARRIVAL. This is a legal requirement. You will receive an email from property manager prior to arrival with details and to arrange check in etc.

Travelling to the apartment:

There is no access to this street with a car during the day, however you can again access between 7:30pm to 7:30am (when green light on only) or of a Saturday. If you wish to stay with a car you can park short stay along the Arno in blue spaces, and pay at meter - though I would only recommend this for short stay as it becomes very expensive after first hour, however it is free there from 8pm to 8am.

The nearest garage is on the Street "Garage Tintori" please look online for rates and to book a space with them.

The house can be accessed at all times on that street by bus or taxi - there is a bus stop on the street which can runs bus service no. 23, direction SORGANE)

Santa Maria Novella train station is approximately 15 minute walk: Directions; once you have walked out of the station, turn right on to Via de' Cerretani and walk until you reach Piazza del Duomo. (You can't miss this Piazza!) Walk along Via del Proconsolo and keep straight on until you reach Via dei Leoni. At the junction with Via de Neri turn left, and proceed over the traffic lights at the crossroads with Via de Benci, keep going straight until you finally reach the Corso dei Tintori, No. 23! If you are unsure weather you have arrived at the right door, you will see 'Connaire' listed as a name on one of the bells.

Return to Florence

Unique property. Fabulous location. Windows all inside courtyard views - we were out being tourists and did not use the kitchen except for light breakfasts.

Hidden Gem

This unit was everything we could have asked for. This was our (adult) children's first time in Italy and it did not disappoint and it started with this fabulous unit. The Owner and Property Manager were fantastic with communication. The listing is accurate. Plenty of kitchen space for our needs. Bathrooms were great. Plenty of hot water. The location is so good! Down the street from both the Arno (Ponte di Grazie) and Piazza Santa Croce. Blend/Eat across the street is excellent. Everything was wonderful and we had a great time.

Perfect Location for a Walkable Florence Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cute, quirky and cozy apartment. The listing photos were accurate, and bedrooms were all very comfortable. We stayed in late March so the apartment temperature stayed cool and comfortable. The Santa Croce neighborhood location was outstanding and made walking everywhere we wanted to go (sights, shopping, food) on either side of the river a breeze. While we did walk from the train station when we arrived, we decided it was easier to catch a taxi back to the station when we left. Communication with the property manager was excellent! Highly recommend.

Quirky museum feel with all the amenities

This was the perfect apartment for our family of four (2 adults and 2 teens). We loved the quirky layout of this renovation, including all of the special touches, details, and artwork. The cave room at the back of the apartment was a hit with our teens. We also appreciated the availability of both a washing machine and a dryer. The location was excellent. It was on a quiet street, but close to all the major sites that we wanted to see and superb restaurants.Communication with the owner and management team to confirm arrival details was also excellent. We highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again during a future visit to Florence.

Unique apartment, great location!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this apartment! It’s very quirky with strange hallways and nooks, and we found it really unique. It is renovated and well stocked. The kitchen is small, but has good appliances and definitely had everything we needed. We loved the location of the apartment, within walking distance of everything we wanted to do/see. We found a new favorite restaurant just down the street (l’Osteria Cucina Casalinga) that we went back to multiple times. We definitely hope to stay here again when we return to Florence!!

We had a wonderful time in Florence. The location of the property was amazing. Walking distance to every major attractions. We felt that the apartment was a little humid and a moldy smell. But overall a good place to stay.

Unique and spacious

This unit was clean and comfortable. There are lots of levels to maneuver through, but it is charming. Unfortunately, the dryer was out of service during our stay, but the manager provided us with a drying rack.

Our stay in Florence

We very much enjoyed our stay in Florence at this property. It was in short walking distance from all the sites and museums, shopping and other attractions we wanted to see. Grocery store across the street was very handy. We are also runners so being close to the river/canal for a long morning run was fantastic. We both recommend this property for someone wanting to stay in the historic portion of Florence.

We loved our stay here!

The property had everything we needed. We loved the antique spaces with modern amenities. The check in and communication with hosts was great. The location was wonderful! We walked everywhere, except to the train station. We called a cab and literally 3 minutes until pick up for that. We stayed a week and appreciated the washer and dryer before we moved on. Literally minutes walk to great sites, shopping and restaurants. Thank you for sharing with us!

Great appartement in the heart of Florence historic center

This was a great apartment to explore Florence for few days. Location is great, in a small and quiet street in the historic center, with a supermarket, restaurant and cafe all within 30 sec walking. Also very close to the Arno River. There are 3 bedrooms. The one located in the far part of the apartment is on the smaller site and the shower in the second bathroom is rather rudimentary. Great decoration throughout, we loved this place. Only comment is there is not much natural light, but anyway you will be out exploring most of the day.

Excellent location and vibe!

What a fun place to stay with teen girls. The property itself was the most unique place we have ever stayed. It is huge and both my girls, 14 and 16 had their own rooms. Location was perfect to walk to everything. Literally 5 min it’s to the Uffizi gallery, plus the other must do’s in Florence.

The apartment was as the pictures, with an extra dash of quircky and we loved it, very comfortable. Florence is very walkable and friendly and would totally recommend this location.

Mosquito coast .

The property was charming and mostly what we expected from the listing. Neighborhood was fantastico! And walking distance to all the places we intended to visit. I would suggest an extra quilt or blanket or two, trash bags and toilet paper. Our biggest complaint were the mosquitoes! Our second night in our daughter's room , the small white one with the twin beds ,she insisted she was getting bitten by mosquitoes. It only got worse as the week progressed. My son and daughter were both covered in mosquito bites all over their exposed areas. We could hear them in the master bedroom buzzing in our ears. We couldn't figure out where they were coming from. We never opened the windows to allow fresh air for fear we would allow more mosquitoes in. So both my son and daughter came home with mosquito bites all over their face, their eyelids, their necks, their arms and hands. A bit of a nightmare. We were not warned about the mosquitoes. Our check in host only mentioned not letting the pigeons fly in, but mentioned nothing about the mosquitoes. At first, I thought they may have been a different kind of bug… Fortunately, that was not true , as we all heard them buzzing around our heads at some point throughout the week. If that is an issue, we would've appreciated some warning, and or, supplies to prevent the house having a mosquito infestation. It was a very unfortunate , annoying and gross part of our experience, there were blood stains on the pillows and sheets from getting bitten .

Great apartment-Great location!!

My wife and I travelled to Florence with our daughter who was studying in Rome. The property manager, Yanni, met us and gave us a thorough overview. The apartment was clean and provided everything you would need for a short stay. It is in a great location with things to see, restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Right across the street is a market that was very convenient. I would recommend this place to any of my family and friends.

Cool apartment in a great location

The location was perfect between the Santa Croce church and piazza de La Signorelli. We walked everywhere, and there was a convenient grocery store just across the street. The apartment had what we needed and was perfect for a few nights in Florence. The shower was good sized with good water pressure, and there were two bathrooms, which was nice. The only slight negative was the mattresses were hard and AC in the bedrooms noisy. But we could deal with these things for the great location and overall apartment amenities. Great place to stay in Florence.

Quaint apartment tucked into Florence

First time in Italy- first ever trip to Europe and loved this quaint apartment tucked away in the streets of Florence. Loved that we really didn't hear anything of street noise and were always surprised all going on outside when leaving! Perfect location to get to about anything you wanted to do in Florence. 15 minute walk to the train station - and MANY restaurants very close by with many options to choose from. Grocery store literally across the street, was in great location to purchase breakfast foods and snacks. We will definitely stay here again if ever in Florence in the future.

Wonderful apartment amazing location

We absolutely loved this apartment. Not only was the location amazing. The apartment is so unique but modern at the same time. Our family was arriving earlier then the check in time and Jessica allowed us to check in early. She was so helpful with some logistics and communication was amazing. It was so helpful especially since we were traveling with children We had an incredible memorial time. I would sure recommend this apartment t to anyone!! Rose

Fantastic location, reasonably priced and great accommodation

We were part of 2 families (4 adults, 6 yr old and 2 babies who were 4 months old). We had a lovely holiday to Florence and made all the better by our stay here. The flat is lovely and perfect for our needs. Vanni, the person running the flat was very good showing us around the flat and met us there to let us in. It is on the 1st floor so we had to carry things (including a buggy) upstairs, but that was the only downside of this gem of accommodation in Florence. 5 mins walk from The Pallazo Vecchio so very central. 20min walk with suitcases from the main train station. Thanks so much for our stay

Wonderful stay

We had a great time. This location is excellent!! If we come back we will try and stay here. If you want to eat at the Foody Farm across the street you'll need to make a reservation, worth it -food was excellent. Everyone slept well in their bed. Had plenty of room for us, although we didn't find enough large towels. There is a way to turn on the stair lights when you leave the apartment, but didn't find the lights at night coming home right away, we used our phones until we found that there is a switch on the wall across from the elevator which makes it so much easier - it's on a timer so you don't need to worry about turning it off. There were NO toiletries at all - would have been nice to have some liquid hand soap available for washing hands when we got there. Be advised you need the fee money per person per day on the reservation.
