Great spot to explore the harbor and old town!

Everything with our stay went great! Coordinating logistics for check-in/out went well both through the app and via SMS. Our favorite parts were the great windows with the view of the port, proximity to old town nice and walkability to great food options and shopping (about 20 mins or less by foot, definitely less by bus/rail)

Great Location in Nice

We had a very nice stay at Charlotte and Marc’s beautiful apartment overlooking the port. Catherine provided very helpful assistance with the book in process. The apartment was very modern and spacious with all mod cons. The air-conditioning was a real bonus. A heads up re the temporary scaffolding would have been appreciated before arrival, but other than that we had a wonderful 6 nights in Nice.

Lovely property, great view, terrible Wi-Fi!

Everything was great but the Wi-Fi, which was at times tortuously slow or nonexistent. Calls over internet were dropped, sometimes repeatedly, and it could take several minutes to load a webpage. I mainly relied on my own cellular data, and Marc kindly offered to reimburse me for extra. He said someone would come to check it but nobody did and it never improved over 2 weeks I was there. The building has thick walls and there is only one modem in the common entry that serves two apartments. This may have something to do with it but whatever the cause, the result was a lot of frustration during an otherwise lovely stay!

We are aware that Edwina didn’t stop complaining about the wi-fi but still we are surprised because the previous guests and the following ones told us that everything worked fine and that it was all right….so we don’t know if Edwina has expectations and liadings no one can match or there was a connecting problem but it seems quite strange to us !

Lovely Location and View

Positives: Location, location, location- Beautiful view of the harbor and Mediterranean. Tram to town and multiple bus stops right outside of the door. However, this means it is a bit noisy outside. Hundreds of very good, and several great restaurants within easy walking distance. The others: The bed is a bit small. Not a queen or king, but rather a full or double size in American terminology. The apartment is on the top floor. However, there is an attic apartment above. Typical of old French buildings, their footsteps are quite loud below. There were a few maintenance and wear issues. The rug in the living room has several stains. Some areas of grout in the shower need deep cleaning. The bathroom light often stays on despite pushing either control switch. Previous comments about internet are correct. OK at the kitchen table. Weak sitting on the couch and often not usable in the bedroom. The control for the HVAC was not working properly. The controller had to be kept in the kitchen cabinet rather than on the spots where it had previously been mounted on the wall. This is likely because it is a WIFI system and could not operate from the other end of the apartment. Many partially used toiletries and condiments left by previous guests remain. In some cases, this was good (shampoo, liquid soap, olive oil, pepper) in others a bit off (deodorant, tampons, baby wipes, mayonnaise, jam)

とても快適な宿で気持ちよく過ごせました。 設備は必要十分。 宿は旧港の目の前と言うだけでなく、トラムT2の駅、Meton等へ向かう601系のバス停も目の前。 Nice Riquierの駅へも徒歩圏。周りには食事する場所も多いです。 昨年は空港側(ニースで唯一砂浜があるエリア)に泊まりました。そちらも良かったですが、よりニースらしさはこちらでした。 是非おすすめです。

Amazing Stay!

We stayed here for 6 nights and it was amazing! It’s so close to the train and buses and multiple restaurants so we were able to walk or use public transportation to everywhere (even Eze, Monaco and Villefranche). It seemed to be a little less busy staying in the port rather than on the promenade - which we really liked! The apartment was also so cute and comfortable. If we come back to Nice we will definitely stay here again! If you’re considering booking this place - do it! You won’t regret it.
