Enjoy the charms of the Florence Historic centre and the S. Croce lifestyle during your stay. Strategic location: every Florence historic centre site is walkable from the Maia apt (Uffizi, San Marco, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Maria Novella, Piazzale MIchelangelo..). It is a lovely nest just remodeled down to the last details to make your stay comfortable and romantic: oak-beamed, wood ceiling and parquet, chip in making a warm atmosphere



The Space
Central, light and very quiet, the Maia is a charming and lovely vacation rental set on pretty street in Santa Croce area. The apartment consists of: 1 bright living room with sofa-bed; extendable dining table to seat six, TV and fully fitted kitchen ; 1 master bedroom with double bed, TV, chest of drawers, french window; 1 small bathroom with shower; 1 loft bedroom with closet and 2 single bed: one bed upstairs, one high-quality pouf bed (which can accommodate guests of any age) downstairs. Oak-beamed, and parquet in every bedroom.

Dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, fridge with small freezer; toaster, kettle, tableware, hair dryer, children camp bed, hoover. Cotton linen and towels provided. New and silent air conditioning system in every room, free WIFI; 2 TV.

The Neighborhood
Enjoy the charms of the Florence Historic center and Santa Croce lifestyle during your stay in Florence. A variety of attractions are only a short walk away. The apartment is located at the second floor of a just refurbished old and typical building, near to the most famous sites: few minutes from Santa Croce church, Dome, Ponte Vecchio, Bargello and Uffizi. Santa Croce is one of the most cool and popular florentine locations. The area is lined with restaurants, cafés, shopping spots (email hidden)ly atmosphere. Stroll down to the Macci’s street in S. Ambrogio area you'll find the lively famous food market with all kind of fresh products. There you will also find a pay and display parking. Do visit the Ciompi square with its antiquities market. Finally, I am a good cooker and food lover, so just ask for restaurant recommendations!
Getting around
Car Not Necessary.
The Florence old town centre is full of pedestrian areas, small and easy to visit walking . Anyway the Maia apt is 205 mt far away from the pay and display parking of S.Ambrogio.
The Maia apt is close enough to walk to all of the sites:

13 minutes from Piazza Signoria and the Uffizi
14 minutes from the Dome
9 minutes from Bargello
15 minutes from Ponte Vecchio

Note – the apt has two separate bedrooms so it is perfect for families of 4 or for a couple. The additional two sleeping accommodations are in the living room sofa-bed.

The building staircase is easy anyway we want to underline that it is a walk up building (NO LIFT)

This location was perfectly located. In a quiet part of town but close enough walk to all the sites. The suite was clean, and had three air conditioners to keep it cool/cold at all times :) Eugenia was an awesome host who responded to any questions we had extremely fast. Highly recommend this location and would definitely go back.

Fantastic location and cute apartment. We could walk down the street to San Croce to the Christmas Market every evening. Wonderful coffee shop for breakfast around the corner and excellent restaurants nearby.

Overall our stay here was pleasant. The apartment is well located an easy walk from popular sights, restaurants, and shops. The main bedroom was comfortable and clean. The second bedroom is very small and, in my opinion, would not be suited for more than one person. It really would be more properly suited to one child given that the twin bed is a lofted bed close to the ceiling. Of course this is shown in the listing photos but it's difficult to tell exactly what's going on until arrival. The futon mentioned in the listing is actually a pull out couch in the living room, not in a bedroom. The A/C units in the living room and each bedroom were powerful and worked well to keep the spaces cool. The bathroom, as stated in the listing description, is extremely tight and the shower could use good scrub to remove mold from moisture buildup. Outside of that, the property was clean. We had an issue with the boiler that left us without hot water the first night, and the host told us to fix it ourselves or wait until 7 PM our second night for the host to come to fix it. It did end up being a pretty easy fix for us to do, but it's not ideal to be asked to fix a hot water issue yourself in your vacation accommodation. The host did provide a 50 euro refund for the inconvenience. There was also no hand soap in the bathroom or kitchen, and no shower soaps provided, either. We were also not provided with check in instructions until I reached out to the host upon arrival in Florence.

Cozy stay in heart of florence

We had a lovely stay in the apartment which is comfortable, accurate to the photos and well-stocked. Eugenia was very responsive and welcoming, and the location was within close walking distance of all important sights. Would recommend!

We loved the apartment, excellent location and facilities, couldn’t have asked for more! Amazing host with very good communication, Eugenia gave us many great recommendations and made sure all was well! Couldn’t recommend this apartment more - would be our first choice if we return to Florence!

Kitchen could use a spatula Which we purchase and left thereIt is 42 steps up and no elevator One bedroom like a bunk bed up a ladder.Just good for child.Would not suggest this for older peopleWashroom had mold in showerAnd a large dead plant in livingroom.It was in a good location with a grocery store around corner and could walk to center town.We were happy about that but disappointed in the whole set up

No mold at all. About the dimensions I recommend to read the listing before booking. It's not polite complaining about lift or everything else is already written in the apt description, nonsense.about the guest: rude and very dirty. The left the house full of trash, and they always communicated in a way not very kind. I don't recommend at all

Good value

The location was great. The apartment suited our needs but be ware the shower is very small. I believe this is typical for Europe so it is not an issue just for awareness. Communication with the owner was great. It’s a charming apartment.

Loved It!

What a great property! Eugenia was a wonderful host. She was very helpful with all of our questions. The apartment was perfect for my family of four. It allowed us space, separate sleeping quarters, and a wonderful neighbourhood with many dining/shopping options. I would absolutely recommend this property.

Quaint and charming apartment in a great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint and charming apartment. It is perfectly situated close to many must see locations. It is a very quiet location and the host Eugenia was very communicative and checked in and answered all my questions as needed. It was easy to find and the check in and check out was easy. We would stay here again with no hesitation. The bathroom is small but similar in size to other locations we have stayed in throughout Europe. We appreciated having a washing machine for laundry as well and the laundry was dry overnight. Thank you!

Fabulous Apartment!

What a fantastic apartment on a quiet street in Santa Croce neighborhood. The location was perfect for my husband and me, we walked everywhere. The apartment was immaculate, everything in great condition, and Eugenia was wonderful! She welcomed us with a bottle of wine and provided helpful information on restaurants, the neighborhood etc! I highly recommend! Would definitely return. Thanks for everything Eugenia!
