Good location. Small unit. Poor communication from host.
Our family of 4 stayed for 4 nights. Location is great for ski in/out at Tahoe Donner. The studio is small - expect an hotel room size.Communication with host was poor. We asked several times for Tahoe Donner guest cards (to access private amenities and get discount on lift tickets) and the host said they'd look into it but did not give us an update and ignored our follow up messages.

Location was close to the summer biking and hiking trails and bike rental was right at the lodge 5 minutes away. The club house provided wet and dry saunas, 3 hot tubs, and two swimming pools and a fitness center. There was plenty of staff, towels, a locker room and showers and a refreshment bar at the pool. It was a 10-15 mins drive to the downtown for food. This made for a wonderful relaxing 2 day get-a-way.
I would only recommend 2 adults sleeping here as space and beds would make it cramped to have more.
TV was large screen with many streaming options.
Lisa's place is updated and clean, and we loved the fact that it's literally just steps away from the Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area.
Her unit is cozy but functional. The only "complaint" was regarding the sofa bed. We pulled it out, and it felt like it was slightly reclined still, but that could also be user error more than anything else. The trundle bed was very comfortable, and we had no complaints.
Otherwise, the place was perfect! And Lisa had great communication too. Her check-in instructions were very comprehensive and worked seamlessly when we arrived late Friday night. And she even graciously extended our check-out time since there was no other guest checking-in that day.
Five stars for Lisa and her place!
Small, but perfect location. Great for a small family.
I went up to Tahoe Donner for the first time with just my two kids and this little studio was perfect. It is literally the size of a hotel room, but had a killer little kitchen that had all you need to whip up all your meals. It is like a one minute walk to the ski slopes (maybe 5 with kids in ski boots). TD ski area is a perfect spot for families and kids learning to ski. Mine are only new to skiing, so I didn’t want to go somewhere huge and expensive to stay on the beginner slopes. TD is fairly priced and approachable in every way, and you get a bonus discount on lift tickets with the included guest cards! Don’t expect large or Uber luxury (though the kitchen is brand new and awesome) but it is super clean, well maintained, convenient and Sarah the owner is responsive and lovely.
A couple quick notes: she gets most of her bookings on other sites and VRBO has strange ways of contacting hosts. She missed my booking, but as soon as I contacted her directly she got right back to me. So if she’s not responding, send her a text.
Lastly, the smoke alarm is right next to the kitchen and there isn’t any hood fan, so maybe skip the bacon or any other smoky things. I set off the alarm twice with very little smoke from some bacon, haha.
