EXCELLENT location. 5 min ride to Okemo, 20 min to Killington. Views of the lake are amazing! Neighborhood is quiet and cozy. The perfect retreat can't wait to return!
This house was impeccably clean and the host was very communicative about check in and gave great recommendations for things that were going on locally during our stay. The view was also amazing and a great idea for a family getaway with great accommodations for kids!
We had a lovely stay at Laurie’s place. It was a beautiful home with the lake just across the small street. The stay was restful and perfect for our family’s needs.
This house was perfect for our group (2 families). It was clean, well stocked, plenty of room, and a great location for access to the mountain. Would definately reccomend.
This house was perfect for our family vacation! We had trouble opening the shed and Laurie was very responsive to help ensure we could access the shed. We made many memories at this house and I hope to make more!
Perfect location if you plan to ski at Okemo - very close to Jackson Gore. This is a home! Clean, inviting, and picturesque. We truly enjoyed our stay, and the owner was very informative and responsive. We hope to return.
Our overall experience with this property was very good. The house has 4 spacious bedrooms with room for a portacrib, if needed. There are three (!) clean bathrooms as well. The basement room provides comfortable space for the young ones to hang out. The porch was lovely and the stairs/deck to the water made getting down to the lake easy as pie. We would definitely consider a return visit to this Ludlow lake house!
Our stay on lake rescue was awesome! Our family fit perfectly. Total 10 (6 adults 4 kids)....the house was clean and modern. The deck is big and fit everone easily. The lake is clean and the raft was used all week and the kids loved it! Fishing was incredible everyone caught fish. The damn is in walking distance and is something you have to see. . Our stay was perfect.wadwaswaperfect thank you!
We had a great stay at your property. The house is a perfect location for a skiing at Okemo and perfect size for multiple families to share. The house was very clean and had all the necessities of home. Laurie, the homeowner responded to all my questions timely and was very helpful. We will rent this house again for skiing for sure and hope to possibly try it out in the summer months.
This house is awesome. No need to look anywhere else. Direct access to the crystal clear lake. Floating dock so you can jump into the water. The house is immaculate. The shed has a kayak, the canoe is awesome too. There ASR’s several life jackets. There is a dunkin, Shaw’s, peoples bank ATM and several other restaurants about 2 miles down the road. Bring the whole family and live the lake life. Okemo is about 2 miles down the road also. There is a washer/dryer in the basement. The house has everything you would need. The owner Laurie is awesome: very helpful and gets back to you immediately. I’ll be back for sure.

Thank you Shaun for renting with us! We really appreciate the care that you had for the home. I am so glad that you had a nice trip. Hope that you can come back some time. Take care! Laurie
Our family vacation from 2 states was a success. The house is very accommodating. My husband went to the basement when he wanted to read his book and the rest of us put together a puzzle on the coffee table and watched TV. The kitchen is a good size. VERY SURPRISED that coffee and filters were not supplied to us as guests. We supply that essential item to all our guests. The bedrooms where great sizes and had furniture needed for long stays of a week or more. The large dining table is great for playing games and eating family dinners as well.
PROS:
Location, size of house, access to water sports and more.
CONS:
1-Street sign for Slack's Pasture Road on Red Bridge Road is NOT displayed to know where to turn. We THOUGHT it was someone's driveway,
2-The dishwasher does not work properly. When we arrived ALL of the flatware in the drawers were filthy along with the dishes, pans and more. We found out later the dishwasher soap dispenser top STICKS and sometimes does not pop open to dispense the soap to the dishes.
GREAT vacation though with GREAT memories.

Thank you for the review Donna. Happy to hear you had a nice vacation. I’m really sorry to hear that there were no coffee filters for your stay. We normally keep a pile near the coffee mugs. I can’t believe we have gone through them already. There is a second coffee pot with a different type of filter above the fridge, that I would have mentioned if I would have known.
We don’t provide coffee but we normally have a can of Maxwell coffee as bonus coffee if anyone forgot it, but that must have taken a hit as well.
I am so sorry to hear about the flatware and dishes upon arrival. This has never been an issue before and I will take it up with our cleaner. No one has even mentioned a problem with the dishwasher. If I would have known I would have had someone come take a look for you while you were there and before our next guests arrived.
We stayed for a long weekend with my sisters and their families. The house was perfect! The location was great! The lake is basically in the front yard. We spent time every day on the provided kayaks and row boat. There were 9 of us and the kitchen/ dining area was the perfect size to fit everyone. The house was very spacious. My boys got a kick out of the foos ball table too. We are already talking about going back again next year.
The renting process with the owner Laurie Was very easy. this was my first time renting through here she answered all of my questions very quickly. The house looked nice online but the pictures did it no justice! it was spotless beautifully furnished large bathrooms and bedrooms eight of us spread out nicely and slept comfortably. not to mention the gorgeous lake on the property and all of the toys to go with it! I highly recommend staying at this Beautiful property! Thank you Lori for sharing your home with us to make beautiful memories
This house was perfect for our family vacation! The house was very clean and the waterfront access was beautiful. We were also in walking distance to the falls!! The covered porch was amazing as we were able to sit under it and watch the rain!
My family has been visiting Vermont annually for the last 35+ years. As we expand in size, we were very pleased with our stay and hope we can return again next year. The only con that stood out, was no working grill/propane. Outside of that - the house was lovely with a great view and location.
We stayed at this property in the end of June, and had a blast. Our three kids loved the water trampoline, kayaks, and proximity to Okemo was amazing! The homeowners were wonderful to work with, very responsive. The property was beautiful and clean. I would note- if you stay in the heat of summer, beware, there is no air conditioning in this home. Aside from that it is A++!

About the host
Hosted by Laurie
We live year round Northern NJ with our two children. We both grew up in NJ but love to travel to different places, especially Vermont.
Why they chose this property
We have been coming up to Vermont since childhood staying at different lakes. We have been renting in Ludlow for 9 years and finally bought a house for our children to grow up with. Ludlow is a great town in Vermont with many things to do. We fell in love with this house the second we walked into it. The wrap around porch is great to relax after a long day on the lake and the gas fireplace after a day of skiing at Okemo. It's a great year round location.
