Llainddu Farm Lovely Detached Cottage, Beautiful Views, Gardens And Woodland

Llainddu Farm Cottage is set in 15 acres of idyllic woods and farmland, rich with birds and other wildlife, recently refurbished and within easy reach of the stunning beaches of Cardigan Bay and Pembrokeshire. With private courtyard and garden, woods and fields to explore, and far-reaching views over the Teifi Valley, the cottage provides a perfect setting for a relaxing break in the countryside, or an action packed family holiday.

The cottage is an attractively converted former farm building on a rural, peaceful smallholding. The woods and farmland at Llainddu are idyllic and provide a habitat for numerous birds and animals including buzzards and red kites. The woodland with its ancient oaks and bluebells in the spring is a lovely place to walk, paddle in the stream or take a picnic.

Llainddu Farm Cottage sleeps up to 7 people and there is also a cot. There are 4 bedrooms, all with far-reaching views over the surrounding countryside. Upstairs is the master bedroom with vaulted ceiling and King size bed, a twin bedroom and a single bedroom. All upstairs bedrooms have central heating and are carpeted. Downstairs there is a spacious living room with exposed beams and oak floor, two sofas, digital television, DVD player, board games, farmhouse dining table and chairs, central heating and also an open fireplace.

The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooker and oven, microwave, breakfast table seating, central heating, washing machine/drier and fridge with small freezer compartment. Both the living and kitchen open out onto the cottage courtyard.

Outside the cottage there is ample parking for up to 4 cars. Garden furniture and BBQ are provided for your use in the courtyard and garden. You have direct access to 15 acres of private woods and farmland, but you are advised to supervise children at all times as there are steep banks and streams, and there will be tractors in the fields at certain times of year.

Tranquil getaway retreat
Lovely cottage surrounded by pristine woodland and natural beauty. Accommodation was comfortable and characterful with practical modern touches. The peace and quiet was much appreciated and we all really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend Llainddu Farm and Cath and Alistair made us feel very welcome.

Llainddu Cottage, the perfect holiday
Llainddu Cottage is a wonderful place to stay. The cottage itself is perfect and everything you would expect from a holiday cottage. Quaint yet still offers all mod cons. Very clean and warm. The surounding area is beautiful. Lots of land including fields woods and streams to explore. Llainddu far outweighed our expectations. Cath and Alistair were the perfect hosts, they left us to our own devices yet we knew they were always on hand should they be needed. We would recommend llainddu Holiday Cottage to anyone.

About the host

Host profile image
My husband Alistair and I moved to West Wales 10 years ago with a baby and a 2 year old, as we wanted to be close to the beautiful coastline and enjoy more space to run around as a family. We have spent a lot of time developing our own woodland, and building walking and biking trails. Since being in West Wales we have become keen mountain bikers, often seen at Brechfa Forest, Nant-yr-Arian and Afan trail centres. We split our free time between body-boarding and 'surfing' at local beaches and mountain biking at the nearby centres. West Wales has so much to offer we have trouble fitting it all in!

Why they chose this property

We had always dreamed of owning a woodland, and the woods at Llainddu Farm are beautiful, providing habitat to numerous animal and bird species including buzzards, red kites and foxes.

What makes this property unique

Beautiful rural setting with own woodland, streams to paddle in, and fields to run around - perfect for children to play in and for us to enjoy walking, biking and relaxing in.
