About this property

Cozy and comfortable wooded cabin

This property is located in the heart of Alta in a quiet wooded setting. It is a great base for hiking, fishing and skiing in the Tahoe basin. It is 30 minutes from Boreal Ski resort and 45 min from Truckee. We have a huge deck with a BBQ, great for relaxing while having a cup of coffee, or just visiting with family and friends. Plenty of room around the property for the kids and a fire pit to enjoy at night. There is also access to a community pool in Dutch Flat 5 minutes away. This cabin was built in 2010 as my parents summer home and has all the comfort and conveniences. Owners live on site in the separate main house.

Everything was perfect except we didn’t get to enjoy the cabin enough! We will absolutely stay here again. It is cozy and welcoming. Comfy beds and super clean. Loved the nature you are surrounded by. Enjoyed the bird feeders off the deck and the outdoor kitty who greeted us. Thank you so much!!

This was a great cabin. Its shares a lot with the main house but since you are looking into the woods it does feel like you are alone. Near alot of hiking trails and water holes. About 30 minutes away from everything. We loved our stayed and we will be back again.

This is an ideal getaway cabin; 10 minutes from the highway, and quite comfortable for our family of five, including our three grown children. Close to some beautiful hikes; Hangry Howie’s has amazing food for dine in or takeout; the hosts are phenomenal with suggestions and ready to answer any type of question; the kitchen is fully stocked; the side porch is beautiful for solitude journaling, or to hang out with the family. We love the Cozy Cabin! It is pretty perfect for my kids, grandson and I, and is close enough to Soda Springs to keep us coming back in the winter.Scott is a wonderful host and hope to meet Dena on our next visit.

Definitely a great place to relax and enjoy the woods. The sound of the breeze in the trees blowing and the smell of the Pine and Douglas Fir is so amazing. The cabin had plenty of room for the 4 adults in our group. There was a Nespresso coffee maker that topped off our mornings very well. Plenty of pans for cooking if desired. The pictures posted for the property don’t do it justice.

The cabin was nice and cozy. They had a perfect spot to make a sled track for the kids. A nice fire pit to make s’mores at the end of the day in the snow really hit the spot. The hosts were really nice and helpful.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. This was our second stay here, and definitely not our last. The cabin was clean, peaceful, and well maintained, making it a perfect place to relax. Being close to the freeway was also a big plus, providing peace of mind and an easy escape in case of bad weather. The hosts were fantastic and very welcoming and caring. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Getaway Location

Beautiful and peaceful location. Cabin very well designed and constructed with great view of the forest. Cabin well stocked and lots of special touches to make it feel like home. A wonderful anniversary getaway for us.
