Disaster
This property is not suitable for guests, and no effort was made by the host to make it welcoming. The photos did not represent the current furnishings or condition. It’s cluttered, the carpet is stained, and the mattress is horrible. Things are broken, lightbulbs are missing and burned out. The top of the refrigerator is a greasy, dirty mess. All the clean towels were found in the dryer, the only TP was a small bit left on the roll, and there were only a few drops remaining in the bottle of dish soap. Yes, it had been “cleaned” but it still felt dirty. This place has potential, but it is not in suitable condition to serve as a guest house.

Response from VrboOwner on 22 Aug 2025
Upon arrival, the guest demanded to cancel despite having booked under a strict no-cancellation policy. She cited the mattress as an issue but declined to allow us the opportunity to address or resolve it. As a courtesy—and to avoid further friction—we released her from the reservation without penalty.
Unfortunately, after this goodwill gesture, she filed a chargeback for both the cleaning fee and the nights she had already used, costing us nearly a thousand dollars on top of the lost rent. In total, the financial impact amounted to several thousand dollars—all stemming from a personal preference.
This property has hosted guests for well over a decade with consistently positive experiences. It is professionally cleaned, well-maintained, and accurately represented in the listing. Many of the claims made in the review are patently false. There is a light stain on the dining room carpet from a previous guest, but it has been professionally cleaned. Due to HOA regulations, carpeting is required for sound control, and the unit is deep cleaned regularly.
The experience described does not reflect the condition of the unit or the experiences of the many guests who have stayed here.
This is a very quaint place to stay. Very quiet neighborhood yet very close to anything and everything you will need for your stay. I highly recommend a stay with Matthew guiding you along the way. Quick to respond to questions and suggestions.
This cozy little apartment was a perfect place to stay while I was waiting to get into my condo. The appliances and carpet are reasonably new, everything works well, and the furnishings are clean and tidy. Everything you need is there. It's less than a mile from the Federal Center bus and trail station, so easy access to downtown or wherever. Having the front parking spot is a bonus. Convenient to shopping, fitness facilities, or even the foothills, it really has everything you need.
