Of course, if you'd rather take it easy, Continental Divide Retreat is fully equipped with all the comforts of home. You can pack light, as we supply all the linens, towels, and paper products for your stay. The kitchen is fully furnished with pots, pans, and place settings for eight or more.

We loved this home in the mountains of NC so much I am hesitant to leave this review because it will be completely booked up once the secret is out.
Perfect tranquil getaway. View is great and the house was beautiful. Quiet mornings and evenings looking over the foggy valley made this a great retreat for us. Brandon November 23
"Two words.... the view!" Katie, Apr 2021
WOW! Best VRBO yet!
We definitely want to stay here again! Clean, beautiful, functional. Hosts were amazing! No one will be disappointed here. Lovely area. We saw deer on our walks.
"Do not hesitate! This was a perfect, easy to access- mountain home, with a million dollar view." Carey, Nov 2021
Best vacation rental I've ever booked. House has phenomenal views from the back porch; it's nicely decorated and well equipped; was exceptionally clean. It's off the beaten path in a quiet area, but conveniently located to grocery stores." Bruce, Oct 2021
"It was very comfortable for our family gathering of 10 persons with enough space to have private time when needed." Paula, June 2021

"Magnificent views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. "Millon-dollar view" is putting it lightly. Home is beautifully decorated... We saw many a deer in the woods as we went upward. A mountain retreat but you have a Wal-Mart very close by for any last minute needs... Much to do all within a half hour ride... This home is as good or BETTER than advertised. Very comfortable, room to spread out if you have a family, good drive
way to park on. A+ all around." Lawrence, Oct 2020
"Upon pulling into the driveway we knew our stay would be wonderful." Sara, Oct 2020
"A great weekend get away, breath taking views, a very clean and spacious home." Jim, Sept 2020
"Excellent location, clean, big, everything was perfect. Fast communication with host - we will be back!". Rob, February, 2020

About the host
Hosted by Lila Angel

Our primary residence is Beaufort, NC. We love the mountains, having lived in Western North Carolina for over 30 years. We travel extensively in the United States in our motorcoach.
Why they chose this property
Having lived in the Western North Carolina mountains most of our adult lives, we feel "at home" when we are here. We moved to Spruce Pine/Little Switzerland in 1997 and fell in love with this remote mountain village. Although we retired to coastal North Carolina, we know home is here on the mountain.
What makes this property unique
Continental Divide Retreat on Apple Mountain is a unique home located on the Eastern Continental Divide which provides all the benefits of quiet solitude while being readily accessible to everyday needs.
It sits on Apple Mountain with a spectacular Western View of 30+ miles of fading mountain and valleys. Sunsets can range from spectacular on beautiful evenings, to quiet solitude as we sometimes float over the clouds in the mornings or in the clouds that sometimes obscure the mountain, but provide a feeling of being the only place in the world.
