We're so glad you enjoyed our home. We hope to enjoy the view in a couple of weeks. We don't get there very often.
"Million Dollar View"The house was super well equipped and very spacious. The view was phenomenal. We went to the square dance in Little Switzerland and the Orchard at Alta Pass so the location was perfect. Couldn't have been nicer.

The place is just as pictured, clean and comfortable! Loved eating meals in the breakfast nook with an amazing view of the mountains! We hiked Grandfather Mountain nearby (30-45 min. Drive) which we highly recommend! You have to visit the local coffee shop (The Fox and the Fig) for a great brunch and wonderful coffee!

Thank you for your nice review. Reviews are important to us to help us maintain a high level of quality service to our guests
Very comfortable and clean offering many amenities. Great porches and view. Plenty of room for our party of 8. It was infant friendly. We had a great time!
Best vacation rental I've ever booked. House has phenomenal views from the back porch; it's nicely decorated and well equipped; was exceptionally clean. It's off the beaten path in a quiet area, but conveniently located to grocery stores. I'll probably rent the property again next year.

Thank you for your kind review. We hope you will stay with us again in the future
You are at home as soon as you walk in ! Spacious comfortable! Very easy transition into feeling right at home and the view from the deck is breathtaking to say the least !
We loved this home in the mountains of NC so much I am hesitant to leave this review because it will be completely booked up once the secret is out. This home is perfect for a large family, is extremely well-equipped, has incredible mountain views, and the cost was very reasonable. It’s also minute from the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will definitely go back! Thank you for a great vacation!
We absolutely LOVED this beautiful home! The views and the sunsets can't be beat. This home is stocked with everything you might need since it is furnished as a home, not just a rental. It was way more room than we needed, but we're so glad we had the incredible view of the Smoky Mountains. Each evening we would sit out on the deck for hours listening to the birds and soaking up the view. The drive up to this home is very steep, but it's fully blacktopped so we had no trouble getting up the road with our Jeep pulling a trailer or on our motorcycles. We would like to come back someday when the Blue Ridge Parkway is fully open. There are plenty of brochures and maps about the surrounding area. Grandfather Mountain was not on our radar, but we learned about it from the travel brochures in the home. We're so glad we went. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend!

Brittany, thank you for the nice review. We hope to have you as our guest at the Retreat again in the future.
Easy access on a paved road. Large home with spacious rooms and large deck . We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting on the deck bird watching. In the evening we watched the sun go down over the mountains on the deck swing, This was our second trip to this property. We are planning to return next year.
This property is beautiful with amazing views. We were all very comfortable in our rooms. The weather did not allow us to sit outside, but we enjoyed the views through the large windows. We stayed in and tried watching March Madness. We had issues with the TV in the main room. Overall a great place to stay!
Here’s a warm, heartfelt review you can use or tweak:---We stayed here just before Christmas, and it was such a special experience. The house is beautiful with plenty of space for everyone to relax and be together. We spent our time doing puzzles, painting, and playing games, but most of all, we simply enjoyed being together—and that made it unforgettable. One of our favorite touches was that the house was lightly decorated for Christmas. It added an extra layer of warmth and made the whole stay feel even more special. This home truly offered the perfect setting to slow down, connect, and make meaningful memories. We’re so grateful for our time here and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to gather and create lasting moments.
This home is everything you could possibly dream of! From the moment you see the home for the first time , you will never want to leave. It has breathtaking views of the mountains, beautiful decorated, and every amenity has been carefully thought of. No words can possibly describe this mountain retreat. Just book it! The host Lila and the owner Dave are the absolute best! My family will definitely be back! Memories of this trip will never be forgotten!

About the host
Hosted by Lila Angel
Our primary residence is Beaufort, NC. We love the mountains, having lived in Western North Carolina for over 30 years. We travel extensively in the United States in our motorcoach.
Why they chose this property
Having lived in the Western North Carolina mountains most of our adult lives, we feel "at home" when we are here. We moved to Spruce Pine/Little Switzerland in 1997 and fell in love with this remote mountain village. Although we retired to coastal North Carolina, we know home is here on the mountain.
What makes this property unique
Continental Divide Retreat on Apple Mountain is a unique home located on the Eastern Continental Divide, which provides all the benefits of quiet solitude while being readily accessible to everyday needs.
It sits on Apple Mountain with a spectacular Western View of 30+ miles of fading mountain and valleys. Sunsets can range from spectacular on beautiful evenings, to quiet solitude as we sometimes float over the clouds in the mornings or in the clouds that sometimes obscure the mountain, but provide a feeling of being the only place in the world.
