Beautiful air-conditioned villa, large private pool, barbecue and sea views

This is a large detached villa, recently reformed and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. Very homely; this was, until recently, the owner´s dream home. Set in a quiet residential area yet in walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. Just perfect for a relaxing holiday!

The big pool, garden and terrace receive sunshine practically the whole day through and are surrounded by high walls for your privacy. The terrace has dining furniture and a BBQ and is perfect for al fresco dining! There are many flowers and a lawn. The roof terrace enjoys an ample sea view and is perfect for admiring the sunset. There are sun loungers around the pool and on the roof terrace.

The villa has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, a very attractive lounge, an elegant dining area that overlooks the garden and pool through all round glass patio doors and an enormous, fully fitted kitchen. Much of the house is air-conditioned (4 units) and there is wifi and a large TV set with international TV (all languages), Netflix, You Tube, numerous sports channels, flims, series, childrens' programmes, documentaries etc.

CALA'N PORTER
Cala'n Porter is a lovely resort, ideal for families and couples. It has a beautiful beach, about 12-15 minutes walk o a 3 minute drive away. The beach is very safe, ideal for children. The sea is beautifully clear and is great for snorkelling. There are sun loungers, sun umbrellas and pedalos for hire on the beach. It is the kayaking centre of Menorca with various companies offering kayaks either for private hire or for guided excursions visiting the numerous caves along the coast line. Boat hire is also available.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the centre which is a 10 minute stroll away (just over half a mile). Several of them have a variety of live entertainment in the evening. However the villa is in a tranquil location and usually you cannot hear the music from the centre.

Less than ten minutes walk are the famous Caves of Xoroi, natural caves in a spectacular location half way down the cliffs with bars, which you can visit during the day, enjoy the sunset session or go to the extraordinary discothèque there (open late June to mid September). From the villa you cannot hear the music from the disco.

IN EASY REACH
There is a frequent bus service to the capital of Menorca, Mahon 25 minutes away. There are boat trips around the impressive harbour of Mahón, an open air market two or three days a week, an evening handicraft market with live music once a week, tapas bars and many restaurants. From Mahón there are bus links to most other places on the island including the magnificent old capital Ciutadella.

MENORCA ISLAND PARADISE
Menorca is one of the few places in the world which is both a Biosphere Reserve and a World Heritage site. One of the great attractions of the island is that it hasn't become spoiled unlike so many places around the Mediterranean. 68% of the island is totally protected. Several of the unspoilt beaches of the island are amongst the most beautiful in the world. Menorca has the highest concentration of prehistoric monuments in Europe, some of which are unique to the island and as a consequence has been recognized as a World Heritage site.

Menorca has also been declared a Starlight Reserve and is a wonderful place for stargazing.

In the Spring and Autumn there are many beautiful walks you can enjoy. A short way along the coast is Cales Coves, an unspoilt cove surrounded by prehistoric caves. great to explore or to swim from the shore. In the other direction there is a lovely walk along the fruit tree lined valley behind the beach.

BY CAR
Nowhere is more than an hour's drive from the villa, so with a car you can visit many beautiful beaches, elegant towns, fishing villages, Monte Toro (the island's highest point) old fortresses and prehistoric monuments.
