Wine connoisseurs will delight in being just 5 minutes drive from one of England's finest vineyards, Chapel Down, where visitors can take guided tours of the vineyard and winery (including tasting of course); or even lease their own vines! Take a nostalgic steam train journey back in time on the Kent and East Sussex Railway, including a stop at Bodiam Castle, a magnificent 14th-century moated castle. Or enjoy a day at the beach and explore the golden sandy dunes of Camber Sands, less than 10 miles away. Closer to home, there are some wonderful walks straight from the cottage across the surrounding fields and orchards.
