A 2 bedrooom 2 bath home home with stunning, elevated views, 24km from the sea.
These are the words of a recent guest; Very nice place to stay Newly redecorated house that has all the facilities we could possibly hope for. Very fine beds and a well equipped kitchen. Not to mention the breathtaking view from the house and the charming village with narrow winding streets.... you have to carry your stuff from the car but that’s a fair cost! La Cachette is a very lovely holiday home just 24km from Nice in the hills with beautiful views south. The house was extended and partly refurbished in July 2020 and accomodates 4 people. It has a fabulous master bedroom suite with great views and a wet room, a second delightful double bedroom with adult sized bunk beds and another shower room. The living room is great and looks south with a panorama like no other. The kitchen is new and fully equipped with a fridge freezer, induction hob and oven. The village of Berre les Alpes is C13th and charming. Little streets lead to the houses. Cars are parked in the square and so it is very peaceful. This does mean a short walk up steps and down with luggage and shopping. If you are very unfit or are infirm, this might not be for you. There is a bar, hotel with restaurant, a pizza takeaway booth, a small shop and a tabac. The location allows access to skiing, sea, Italy the whole of the Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia. It is very well located and extremely comfortable with all the home from home essentials. From the village there are fantastic walks and an equine centre allows keen riders to go horse riding. The former SuperBear studio (now a home) is in the village and here, Queen, Kate Bush, Pink Floyd, Elton John and many others recoded their finest albums.

The views are beautiful from this home! The drive up was interesting with many twists and turns. Narrow switchbacks, made it adventurous and we felt like we were on the highest mountain around, LOL! The home was a little tricky to find, but once we did it was gorgeously decorated and well equipped with everything we needed for our family of 5. Be mindful that it is a smaller multi level unit and there are a lot of stairs outside as well to get to the property. The host was very quick to respond to any questions and very clear on check in & check out instructions. Thank you again for hosting us!
Incredibly tasteful decorated house, with spectacular views from balcony and windows. Everything you need is there, fine kitchen, beds are good. It is on top of a mountain in a most beautiful small village and only 20 minutes by car from nice.

Beautiful apartment with epic view.
We stayed in this homely apartment in late August. We found it to be a perfect little home from home.
Although it's only 24km from Nice the last 5km involve 15 hairpin bends up into this medieval hill village. The village of Berre-les-alpes has enough services for the locals and guests to live a simple life without ever leaving.
If you can give up the spectacular views for the day most of the cote d'azure is within an easy drive there is even a supermarket in the valley with a british food section.
During our stay we truly fell in love with this apartment and the pace of life offered.
The owner Jonathan was supportive and accommodating over the phone and email also the local handover was easy.

Why they chose this property
It is charming with a fabulous master bedroom suite and balcony looking south. It is well furnished and comfortable unlike so many french homes that do not invest in quality beds etc. The location is amazing as are the views. A recent guest proposed to his girlfriend on the balcony. How could she refuse! We are 40 mins from the airport. Close to Italy, the Riviera, Skiing, Corsica, Sardinia - inland France. I visit this house regularly and find it incredibly relaxing, exciting and fun. From the house there is so much to do for all ages.
What makes this property unique
Elevated with unbelievable views from the house, south to the mediterranean sea. Very pretty village with views to the Italian alps from the square.
