My wife and I had a great stay at this little cabin. The location is great- right across the street from the big lake, minutes to the Porkies, and a short drive into Ontonagon. The cabin itself is nice and cozy; perfect for a couple. The hosts were welcoming and responsive. Hope to stay again!
My wife and I stayed in February for a snowmobile get-away. The small cabin was just perfect for us and our little golden doodle. Everything we needed for a few day stay was there. Brandi was a perfect host and communication was excellent with her. For those lookng to snowmobile, the cabin is just a short 1/4 mile ride to a main trail. We will definitely be back some day. We’d recommend Porkies Outpost for dinner, the owners are great there. Also Gigi’s for morning coffee or later day wine hour in Ontonagan. Great stay. 5 stars!
Spotless clean and well maintained/equipped tiny cabin! Pet friendly and perfect for the 3 of us (2 adults and our 60lb dog)! Our hosts were wonderful—we booked again for next year!!!
The location and cleanliness of the cabin made it a great place to stay. It was super easy to check in and check out. If you just need a small place to rest your head I would recommend.
Our stay was great. Everything you would ever need for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Very clean and the decor was very inviting with all the up north touches. We will definitely stay again.
We had another wonderful vacation at Rainbow Lodge! Owners Brandi and Matt are always welcoming and the cozy cabin is pristine☺️ Highly recommend them!
The property was perfect for our explorations of the peninsula. We visited several areas and knew we could come home to our cozy cabin. It had everything we needed and was tastefully decorated!
Everything was spotless. Everything we needed was there. Great location.

About the host
Hosted by Matt & Brandi
I (Brandi) was born and raised in White Pine so I have had Lake Superior and the Porcupine Mountains in my backyard my whole life. I have 2 adult children. Matt was born and raised in lower Michigan (Richmond) and always loved to vacation in the UP. Being the hunter and fisherman he is, he relocated here thru his job (Semco) in 2001 Fast forward a few years...we met in 2012 and the rest is history.
Why they chose this property
Rainbow Lodging was originally the End of the Rainbow Restaurant. It served ice cream and broasted chicken and was a popular place to see bears. It had been closed for several years before my Aunt Sharon bought the property in 2011. She turned it into a home for my grandparents (her parents) and a few years later when they relocated she decided to rent it out. Now its her turn to relocate and with wanting to keep it in the family, we (Matt & I) decided to embark on this exciting yet challenging adventure together
