Vermont charm in this private ski lodge featuring; 12 person hot tub on the oversized deck in the birchwood forest, game room, outdoor fire pit, stone fireplace, kayaks, everything you need for family fun! Spacious kitchen with double ovens is perfect for large groups and holidays. Dining table seats 12. Come enjoy our piece of heaven in The Mad River Valley.
On three levels the home features:
Lower Level: Two bedrooms and Two baths, game room and kids TV area, laundry room.
Middle Level: Generous kitchen filled with everything you need to cook Thanksgiving Dinner!
Living area with the worlds most comfortable couch that seats 10 and a stone fireplace.
Sunroom/6th bedroom with queen futon and attached bath.
Mudroom perfect to store all your ski stuff.
Upper Level:

The house was fabulous. Clean, cozy, well equipped. Great location to slopes. We were very disappointed that the hot tub was out of commission for the entire week, which was the main attraction to rent this house. Resolution was not satisfactory.

We are truly sorry an electrical storm took out the hot tub during your stay and the new part could not be delivered on time to fix it. I promise we did everything we could including spending a lot of money to try to overnight the part, which did not arrive on time. I was very heartbroken for you that you could not use the hot tub. But we had not yet come to any resolution on compensation. So I wish you had given me a little bit more time on that. You were wonderful guest and we would welcome you back.

Great stay!

My friends and I had a great stay! It's really close to Sugarbush and downtown Warren. The house was spacious and the hot tub was amazing and perfect to come home to after a long ski day! I'd definitely recommend Betsy's place to anyone!

The house more than fit the needs of our large family. Plenty of sleeping spaces, play space and a large kitchen and dining area. We were thrilled with how well stocked the kitchen was with equipment and supplies. Thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Warren is close to so many things to do! The only thing we would find fault with is that some of the mattresses are uncomfortable. Our thanks to our hosts who were very gracious answering our questions.

Fantastic week of friends and skiing!

Couldn’t ask for much more than this property. Perfect location near Sugar Bush, big beautiful hot tub and wood fireplace to relax by at the end of the night. Blend that with a huge kitchen to cook in and basement / rec room for the kids to call their own and it created an environment for the perfect week. Great location, great communication all around.

Great place for our families

This was the perfect house for our annual trip to Sugarbush. Nice open floor plan on the main floor but also a full, fun and finished basement for the kids. So close to the mountain but secluded at the same time. We’ll be back!

We LOVED Red Dog Barn!

Our group of 4 couples and two bachelors had a fabulous 4 day stay of skiing and lodging at this nicely maintained property. The large dining table comfortably fits 12. Plus the large ovens make group dinners work well. I highly recommend this home!

Amazing Warren Ski Home

Stunning home in a beautiful mountain setting! This home was absolutely perfect for our family get-away with our 3 adult children, their spouses and 4 young granddaughters! This home had everything we needed! Sugarbush Ski area was close by and the hot tub was fabulous! So many wonderful things about this home!

Warren VT Ski House

Spacious house affording privacy, and yet it's only minutes from the mountain. The house has a great lay-out and is perfectly functional. It easily hosted our family. The bottom line question of course is would we rent it again? The answer is a resounding yes.

Better than the pictures

We had a great time at Betsy's house! It is beautiful, bigger and nicer than you can tell in the pictures. We appreciated the stocked kitchen, open floor plan, and everyone enjoyed the hot tub. we will be back next summer!

Fantastic Vermont Getaway

We have never been to Vermont before but we cannot wait to go back. This house was everything we asked for and more. The location was great, the property was private and the house was large enough that everyone had their own space but there was also space for all of us to hang out together and play games and just have fun. And the decor was amazing....everything was perfect.

Hello, As our first review with less than 5 stars in over 4 years of renting I am a bit sad. Please keep in mind, this is our home that we rent out and not a hotel. I do not find our rules about beds and towels unusual at all. MANY homes in the area do not provide sheets and towels at all. As a courtesy to our guests we have high end designer sheets and towels provided and bed mades when you arrive. We have soft cotton sheets for summer and flannel for the winter. We ask that the sheets be stripped before you go so it is clear to the cleaning crew which beds were used and they can ensure to properly clean for the next group. It really is not too difficult to pull the sheets off a bed. As for asking guests to wash towels before leaving; We understand this is not ideal. But, despite having two washers and two dryers in our home......with 10 beds in the house that is a lot of laundry to get the sheets done between guests. Hence, there is just not enough time to do all the laundry for sheets and towels. We deeply appreciate our guests helping with these logistics and pitching in to leaving the home how they found it. We very much hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Nice house but limited bathroom supplies were annoying. If we book again would plan to bring shampoo, toilet paper, facial tissues. House rules seem bent on threatening loss of security deposit for any infraction ie towel laundry not completed properly. Several windows did not open and without AC a few fans would have been useful

I am a bit confused by this review. We do provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, TP, etc.... If there was not enough in the house all you had to do was reach out and we would have sent over more, but we never heard from you. You also mention a security deposit, but we don't even take one! There is no security deposit. Maybe you reviewed the wrong house?

Kitchen was equipped with large stove and utensils for ease of cooking for large group. Big clean hot tub and comfortable beds and pillows. Questions about the house were responded to quickly. Older home so one newer small walk-in shower with no handy cap rails or ramp if you have elderly people with you. Same room needs a small dresser for clothes. Herb tower N/A Overall the home was awesome, and we enjoyed our time there with our family. VT is a beautiful state.

Perfect for a big group

I stayed here with a group of 8 adults, 4 toddlers, and an infant. We all had ample space, with plenty of comfortable beds left unused. The couch was the perfect place for all of us to hang out and watch a movie, and the kitchen was well-stocked for cooking. It was great to be within a short drive of Sugarbush, but still on a quiet road, where we could take some winter afternoon walks. The little hill in the front was the perfect place for our toddlers to practice their skiing- just enough of a slope for them to get a little speed. The hot tub was a huge added bonus. All of us easily fit at the same time, and there were plenty of towels to wrap up in when we finished. We would recommend this home to any family or group!

Large house, close to mountain

Beautiful, large house 5 minute drive to mountain. You can’t beat the convenience. The hot tub was great. It did stop working one day and the owners were extremely responsive and had someone come out right away to fix it. The owners were fantastic communicators before and during the stay as well. 5 stars highly recommend booking. Perfect for large gatherings as there was plenty of open space in the downstairs kitchen/family room area and basement.Only notes: 1. one queen room is listed as a child’s bed by was just a chair. Perhaps it was an old description?2. You have to wash and dry all towels before checkout or you are charged 150. We just couldn’t take showers the last day. Inconvenient, but manageable as long as you plan ahead and wash towels the night before checkout.

Hi Caroline, I am glad you loved the house and had a great trip. I was a bit confused by your comment that one room said to have a queen bed has just a chair. Are you referring to the sunroom, which we use as the 6th bedroom, and has a queen size futon bed? We try to be clear that it is a room with a pull out futon and believe it has worked well for guests as a bedroom. :)

Four Families, Four Good Times!

We all made great use of this wonderful home, even getting (almost) everyone in the hot tub at once! Some enjoyed the sauna as well. We all headed down to the game room for some healthy foos ball competition a few nights. The kitchen was easy to cook for the full house we that we had. The location was perfect, since nearly all were heading up the road to Sugarbush daily, or to Olle's for X-country skiing. Betsy was very responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the week - probably the most responsive of any VRBO owner I've rented from! One suggestion that could be helpful: the couches in front of the fireplace were a great gathering place. Many of us were readers though and there was little light in the room by late afternoon. Perhaps a few floor lamps would solve the problem.

The absolute BEST

From booking to check out, this property had everything we needed to have an amazing weekend. It was very well maintained property and fit all of our guest easily. The downstairs playroom was magnificent for the kiddos and kept them entertained all weekend! The adults and kids all enjoyed the amazing 8 person hot tub! Love the decor and the cooking space, we were able to get so much local food and cook it all! You will not be disappointed with this property- I am hoping to rent it again in 5 years when we return!! Weeklong ski adventure

Property was perfect for our group of 10 - 4 adults and 6 kids age 4 to 15. Direct access to Sugarbush without going up Rt 100, although it's a dirt road so need 4wd for wintry days. Owner adjusted our arrival date by one day about 2 months before arrival, but provided refund and we were okay with it. Jacuzzi was hot in the winter, and easy to operate. Warnings about using Amazon prime account accidentally, but STBs allowed easy Chromecasting and Internet speed (approx 30mbps) was sufficient for the content we needed. Stove and other kitchen amenities were excellent and well stocked, though one of the two ovens had an issue. Will definitely book this place again if we ever return to Sugarbush.

Winter Getaway

What a great time we had with friends and family! Weather cooperated and gave us great skiing, snowboarding, xcountry and snowshoeing conditions. And then the house was so comfortable and inviting to come back to. We never even went out to dinner, we enjoyed being together so much. A bump or 2 along the way but the owners were attentive and helped immediately! Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Incredible place to stay in Vermont with a group!

This place is a perfect spot for staying in Vermont with a group! The house is incredibly well equipped with everything you could need for your stay. The sleeping arrangements are great and the bed are very comfortable. The kitchen is perfect is cooking a large or small meal. During the day you can explore the area ( we drove all the way to canada) sugarbush is incredibly close by. In the evening you can settle in for a soak in the hot tub or a movie in the basement with a group! Hope to return soon.
