We really enjoyed this for our family get together. There was something for everyone and plenty of space to spread out. Close to downtown and all of the Springs, would visit again!
The house is fabulous! Turn of the century style with great decor and modern conveniences blended in. The host was wonderful, helpful, welcoming and available if needed. The location is perfect for accessing many activities and restaurants in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area. Great vacation! Stayed here for a month and enjoyed every minute.
Beautiful historic home in downtown Colorado Springs. We stayed with 5 couples. We golfed Patty Jewett on Thursday and attended the Senior Open on Friday. This home has a beautiful porch to sit out on after a full day of activities.
3 generations of our family stayed at this property for a long weekend. The house is perfectly centrally located and quite comfortable! The kitchen is spectacular and very well equipped! We would stay here again!
The property is gorgeous, with plenty of supplies and a large kitchen if you want to stay in to eat. The rooms themselves were all spacious and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique place to stay.
The house was just as detailed on VRBO. The location was awesome. We were able to walk to dinner, ice cream, church, and more. Super convenient to all of the activities we had planned.

Ron- thank you for taking the time to leave your review! I am so glad this home
Large house rented for college graduation. Large enough to house our whole family.
Property is just as described and communication from host/manager was excellent
14 of us travelled here for a family wedding. Location was great, very walkable to many places to eat and shop. House was as advertised, kitchen very functional. I would recommend.
Stayed at this property for a work event with 3 other colleagues. Plenty of room. Very clean, filled with character, Walking distance to downtown, close to everything.
This home was a great fit for our family vacation. We were within walking distance to many restaurants, shops and parks. It was a very clean, charming home with everything we needed. We were within close driving distance to many area attractions (Pike's Peak, Garden of the gods, zoo) and was a comfortable place to return after very busy days. If we return to the area, we would definitely stay here again!
Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect so close to downtown restaurants, shops and the beautiful Monument Valley Park. Very easy to park and walk. The kitchen was well equipped for a large group. We loved the front porch and everyone liked the swings. We did have trouble with the internet not working though.

Couldn't ask for a better location
Couldn't ask for a better location! Only about 3 minutes off HW 25, and walking distance to countless stores, restaurants, and bars. We stayed for two weeks for work, and it was nice only having to commute 15 minutes over to the Garden of the Gods area. Area was fairly quiet and the house is very classic and charming.
Thanks for letting us stay!
We had a nice family visit. Made a fun return trip to all the little mountain towns and had lunch at our favorite The Historic Ute Inn in Woodland Park. My husband is handicapped and our only issue was a loose handrail out front. Everything was nice and cozy! We all relaxed and had a blast.

I am so sorry that the handrail weld was broken. I believe that a child, as happened once before, stood on the rail. It is fixed now, but again, I am sorry for the inconvenience.

About the host
Hosted by Reed Rickert
I have lived here in Colorado Springs since 1980. This is a wonderful town with so much to see and do. We purchased this home for our personal residence and lived there for 12 years. Raising 4 children there we had too many fond memories to turn it into an apartment building or office like so many of the grand old homes of it's era. So now it is in it's full glory bringing more memories to other families getting together for family reunions, weddings, business and vacations. It's size makes it great to share, but there are many private areas also. It has been fully renovated and restored and is waiting for you!
The space is now managed by my son Reed!
Why they chose this property
We love Old Downtown, and still live in this historic neighborhood. There are endless activities close by. You can walk to so much, and driving from there has easy access to all parts of Colorado Springs. Because we lived in this house and there are many extra's that the normal rental does not have. We pride ourselves on attention to detail. Come stay and enjoy a bit of Colorado's history.
