The Owl House on Broadway – Historic Home with 3 King Bedrooms and 3.5 Baths

The Owl House is located in the heart of Jim Thorpe, right on Broadway! This beautiful Victorian home built in 1836 is walking distance to the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, museums, shops, trails, and restaurants/bars. Upon entering you will feel the warm and inviting old spirit of a Jim Thorpe Home.

The first floor includes a large living room that has exposed brick with restored original pine wide plank flooring. It also boasts a large Victorian bar and bistro table. French doors lead to the formal dining room featuring a huge eight-foot trestle table with abundant seating. The kitchen is fully stocked to prepare meals, has all modern appliances and a stack washer/dryer. Additionally, there is a half bath on this level. The kitchen leads to a back porch and terraced garden. Enjoy cocktails on the rear porch or at the outdoor dining table.

The second level features a spacious master suite with a king-size bed, a comfortable sitting area, and a private bath. The second bedroom also offers a king-size bed and easy access to a full bath on this floor. Front and rear staircases provide convenient access to the upper level.

The third level provides an additional charming suite with a king bed, sitting area, desk, and its own full bath!

With three roomy bedrooms—each with a king-size bed and its own bathroom— this home is perfectly designed for both comfort and privacy.

Off-street parking is adjacent to the home! Three mid-sized vehicles can park in line (nose to tail) in the private driveway!

House is a perfect fit for 3 couples traveling together - 3 bedrooms with their own baths and king size beds with extremely comfortable mattresses. Owl house was a real hoot!

Our stay at the owl house was one of our best VRBO experiences to date. The house itself is architecturally very unique/cool due to being from the 1800's. They accommodated an early check-in, it was super clean, perfectly decorated for the holidays (Christmas), and the hosts provided a great selection of amenities.The location was excellent for exploring the heart of Jim Thorpe on foot. The Owl House

The Owl House superseded expectations significantly. We were looking for a weekend to get away in Jim Thorpe and chose the house based mostly on location. The location was ideal, right on the main strip just feet away from coffee and some great restaurants. What made the trip so special was the house itself. Relaxing girls weekend

My friends and I needed a relaxing weekend away and loved staying at the Owl house! I could tell by the initial contact from Brian when I made the reservation, that this was going to be an exceptional experience. As a host, Brian was super responsive and very generous! A few years ago, we wanted to have a weekend getaway in the Poconos. In our search of where to stay, we stumbled across Jim Thorpe, PA. Coming down Rt 209, heading into town, we were intrigued. As soon as we turned left on Broadway, we knew we were home. That weekend was the start of an adventure that eventually led us to purchasing The Owl House. This is our getaway and we hope it becomes yours.

Why they chose this property

The Owl House is a perfect mix of old and new. It provides a relaxing atmosphere for a getaway and is centrally located to all the shops and restaurants in historic Jim Thorpe! The home also has parking, which is a super asset in this part of town.
