Tranquil villa with large private pool with very private garden, on flat ground

Lovely Spanish villa in the foothills of Vizcondado de Cabanyes, set in a quiet location near to the town of Calonge, in the heart of the Costa Brava. The property is on two levels, bedroom one is on the ground floor, whilst bedroom two and three are located in two separate towers, with separate staircases on each end of the villa. The villa sits on a large flat plot with no steps or slopes to negotiate, it has a large swimming pool 10m x 5m in size with a 2m depth at the deep end. There is lovely spacious seating area both around the pool and by the house there is a large covered area outside for dining and relaxing. There is plenty of space for a car both at the front of the house and on the road directly in front.
Our agents are Dutch and speak fluent Spanish and Catalan German and of course English The Villa is only 3km from Sant Antoni where you will find long sandy beaches and coves, all with blue flag rating. The fishing town of Palamos lays 10min drive north, or a 15min walk from Sant Antoni on the long promenade which connects the two towns. Palamos offers excellent restaurants and shopping. 10min drive south you will find Playa D'Aro a modern town with upmarket shopping and an abundance of restaurants and lively night life. Barcelona and Girona are both within easy reach.

The villa has a wonderful outdoor summer kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with barbecue, fridge, sink and bar stools. This covered open kitchen is ideal for outdoor entertaining whether it be a barbecue or a cooling afternoon cocktail. The kitchen is only a few steps away from the covered outdoor eating area. The villa has the added advantage of having a wonderful sun room off the lounge overlooking the large pool area. The villa has a large private terrace off one of the upstairs bedrooms, the terrace has a table and chairs for you to enjoy a relaxing breakfast or drink whilst taking in the lovely views of the surrounding countryside.

Beautiful house and pool

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful house . The pool with salt water was very nice. The house is located in a quiet area. The fenced garden was perfect for the dogs.

Wonderful stay

Beautiful traditional villa with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Lovely pool and outside space. Not too far from supermarkets, beaches, restaurants etc but having a car is important. Great enclosed garden for a dog and a good place to walk him nearby. All in all a very enjoyable stay and we will hopefully come back soon

Ideal Location, great communication and fantastic pool

Holiday was booked pre-covid but moved on 2 years. Communication has been excellent for the full two years with the host answering all my questions. The location is ideal for visiting some lovely towns in the area like Platja D’aro, Palamos, L’Estartit, Tossa de Mar and Roses. There is a gentkeman in Spain that is on call to help if you need any help or advice which is really handy! The pool is stunning and is cleaned regularly and there is a beautiful undercover area if you are unlucky with the weather.

Summer 2023

We stayed in the lovely villa in a really quiet environment. A stunning swimming pool surrounded by Oleander gives it a magnificent experience. The lounge part is great with a big table for a nice family dinner from the nearby bbq area. Inside the house there is a well-equipped kitchen with more than enough glasses plates etc. The rooms are nice with a fan on the celling which give a nice flow of air to keep you a sleep during the night. The two bathrooms are clean what is important off course. In the garage there is a second fridge very handy to store cold drinks. We loved the house and are so excited that we are really looking forward to coming back in the future.

Wonderful property

The house is stunning and very ample. We felt very at home as it is very private with its secluded gardens. Couldn't see or hear any neighbours despite being in a lovely neighbourhood. The swimming pool is absolutely perfect and safe and has plenty of space around with parasols, 'tumbonas', tables, etc. But eating outdoor is perhaps the most enjoyable experience as it provides lovely shade, and the area is furnished with care and taste. The meet and greet team was extremely helpful and was approachable almost any time. (Thank you!!) The owner was very kind and keen in helping us with lots of information about the area and the house. I wish we could go again soon, but I am sure others will enjoy it as much as we did at the beginning of september.

It's a beautiful villa, located in a quit location near to nature area. Consequence is that you also need a car; beach, shops, restaurants not at walking distance. The bedrooms and bathrooms where nice and clean. The living and kitchen where not so clean (for example dog hair from former tenants; hygiene in these areas could be better). Kitchen needs to be updated. Fine facilities as a garage and washing machine. The outside area is comfortable with a nice swimming pool and relax and dining area. Unfortunately also dog hair on the terrace and lounge sofas. The owner takes a lot of effort in informing tenants and make sure you have a pleasant stay. Our overall review is positive about the villa with a few remarks.

Thank you for your review i’m surprised of this with you as the last people left at 10 o’clock and the next guests are supposed to arrive at 3 o’clock to give time for the cleaners to clean the villa properly but now they arrived at 11 o’clock which put immense pressure on the cleaners they were given water and told to sit on the outdoor furniture which was a nice day they felt they had to hurry up as there was a baby and clean the Villa very quickly as for the dog Hair on the outdoor furniture this was noticed by the cleaners but could not clean it as the guests were sitting on it and could not going to the villa this was spoken about and promised she would be back in the morning to clean the Hair from the furniture which she did so I’m surprised this was mentioned in the review as far as the kitchen is concerned the large fridge freezer was new six months ago the dishwasher was new last year and Ariston oven was new three years ago if you mean the kitchen units the village is of traditional style and the units off by no means cheap ones they are in very good condition and traditional wood so I think this is only a matter of taste we are concentrating on money on improving the swimming pool next year which will be emptied and given a complete reverb and and change in the pump to salt water this is much better for skin and hair We think this is much more important than changing kitchen cupboard doors which are fine as they are regards Alan

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage mit herrlichem Pool

Wir waren zu viert und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wunderschöner Aussenbereich mit einem tollen Pool. Alles sehr sauber. Das Haus ist sehr schön schlicht eingerichtet und die Matratzen sind wirklich gut. Ein Schlafzimmer befindet sich im Erdgeschoss, die anderen beiden jeweils im ersten Stock auf der linken und rechten Seite des Hauses. Ein Zimmer dort mit schöner Terrasse. Sehr gut gezogen für eine Gruppe von Freunden da jeder sehr für sich sein kann. Alle Geräte funktionieren einwandfrei. Den Pool hätte ich mir persönlich etwas tiefer gewünscht aber so ist er auch ideal für Familien mit kleineren Kindern. Unsagbar nette Vermieterin. Kümmert sich sofort um alles

Thank you for your review as we try and prove the house every year this year we fitted the ceiling fans in the bedrooms which was quite an expense this year we are going to empty the swimming pool and renew all the tiles and put in a salt water pump which will be so much better for skin and hair after we do the budget we will think about doing air conditioning for the living room downstairs regards Alan

Ein sehr schönes Haus, wir kommen gerne wieder

Im letzten Jahr hatten wir das Haus auch schon gebucht und dann aufgrund Corona quasi im letzten Moment kostenlos storniert-der Vermieter war absolut kulant, die Rückzahlung des vollen Betrages kam super kurzfristig. Dieses Jahr haben wir dann erneut gebucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht, die Gegend kennen wir auch schon von früheren Urlauben, Calella de Palafrugell, Girona, Barcelona und der Flughafen sind super zu erreichen. Das Haus war tipptopp sauber, die Übergabe und Rückgabe unkompliziert. Die Küche könnte etwas mehr Ausstattung vertragen (Schüsseln, Salatteller…), ansonsten alles super. Die Betten waren in Ordnung, insgesamt kein Luxus, aber alles wie auf den Bildern oder besser. Der Aussenbereich und das Grillhaus sind super, hier kann mann herrlich entspannen und lecker grillen😊. Alle drei Tage kamen die „Poolboys“, das Grundstück ist uneinsehbar und eingezäunt. Wir haben das Einfahrtstor noch mit einem Kunststoffgeflecht dicht gemacht, danach konnte unser kleiner Hund sich die ganze Zeit frei bewegen. Etwas blöd ist die Müllentsorgung, aber dafür kann der Vermieter nichts. Wir haben unseren Müll regelmäßig im Nachbarort entsorgt, wo öffentliche Tonnen sind. Die Abholung über die Gemeinde ist für eine Familie nicht ausreichend. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner, relaxter Urlaub ohne Ärger!

Thank you for a lovely review it was great speaking with you before you arrived at the villa sorry about the salad bowl and the spoons for the salad when we left in June there was adequate some people either damaged them or take them with them by accident we will make sure replacement for next year two of the bed mattresses we are going to replace in October so many things got tired in a villa during the pandemic we run out of money we replaced all the sunbeds all the outdoor cushions the beds are next we strive to make the villa perfect for everyone and I’m sure it was perfect for you but if you come again it will be more perfect as the mattresses on two other bed will be new hope you come again you’ve already told me by telephone conversation that you will thank you alan

Wunderbare Villa, tolle Lage

Wir hatten einen tollen Urlaub in der Villa von Keely and Alan. Die Villa war sauber und gepflegt, die Lage war für uns mit Hund einfach perfekt! Der Pool ist wunderbar, aber am besten hat uns der gemütliche Sitzplatz gefallen. Man hat sowohl vor Ort einen Ansprechpartner, bekommt aber jederzeit auch Hilfe von Alan und Keely, falls das notwendig sein sollte. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und würden die Villa sofort wieder buchen!

I write this in English because of the translation difficulty thank you for you are you are take on board your comment about the pillows I have not been to the Villa for two years because of obvious reasons we update our pillows normally every year and I will do so when we go back in September this year I will throw away everything and renew everything regarding the fridge and freezer The fridge and the freezer is the biggest I can fit in the kitchen But good idea I think I’ll put an extra fridge or freezer in the garage for extra storage

We are Alan and Keely Carter - we currently live in the South West of England and have owned the Villa for the past 12 years. Because we are a family with 2 children we understand how important it is for the property to be child friendly. We have enjoyed our family holidays here since our children were small and although our son is 19 years old, and daughter 21 years, we are so pleased that they still love to come here to enjoy family time with us each year.
We are always happy to answer any questions that you may have about the villa and we pride ourselves on our personal touch. Alan has had many telephone conversations with our holiday families that regularly rent and those who are new.
We currently live in Devon, the South West of England and we are both self employed in the tourist industry and with that knowledge know how important it is for our renters to be happy.

Why they chose this property

My husband Alan and myself, Keely have enjoyed our holidays immensely here over the years - since first setting eyes on the villa and surrounding area we have never tired of the wildlife, peace and tranquility (all we can hear outside are the birds singing) and the good distance to the beaches in the area.
We often take taxi rides to the main resort of Platja D'Aro (about 10 mins drive) with it's long sandy beach, bars restaurants, fantastic nightlife, bowling, aqua parc and much more. La Fosca Beach (about 7 minutes drive).
The nearest supermarkets are 5 minutes drive and the nearest village of Calonge a few minutes. There are so many places to explore and visit and the Restaurants in Palamos, Platja D'aro are very good.

What makes this property unique

The unique features that made us fall in love with our property are the wonderful pool which is ideal for children having steps going down into the shallow end, also the amazing outdoor dining and relaxing area, having the outdoor kitchen is very convenient for BBQ alfresco eating and are close enough to the pool to take a dip when you need to cool off.
The separate bedrooms in different areas of the house make it ideal to suit everyone. The upstairs bedroom with its outdoor balcony overlooking the pool, the downstairs bedroom with bathroom opposite (suitable for disabled or elderly as they do not have to negotiate stairs) and the 3rd bedroom on the upper level on the other side of the house with en suite bathroom suitable for all members of the family.
We think you will find that, being on flat ground, the villa is very easy for elderly or small children to walk and play and very disabled friendly.
There are different areas in the house to relax in and is very cool in the summertime with fans being available in all rooms. There is a main lounge area with tv and book case and then a follow on smaller lounge area (ideal for some quiet time to read a book or relax. The main kitchen is also off the lounge area and is fully equipped.
There is a dishwasher in the kitchen and a washing machine tucked away in the garage area so as not to disturb the peace and quiet.
