Thank you for your guest review while staying at the Carriage House. Your overall experience while staying at the property is very important to us. We make every effort to make it a unique, turn key, 5 star experience for all of our guests during their stay. However, when we receive reviews that include less then stellar comments or concerns, we take it seriously and want to be certain that these issues are resolved and the comments are addressed accurately and honestly. With regard to the maximum number of guest. It's important to mention that when you booked the property you indicated you had 1 guest. That turned out to be incorrect. I followed up with a phone call prior to your arrival to confirm and it turned out you actually had 4 adults. Which is perfectly fine. The property advertises 6 guest. This is correct. However, we always like to confirm the number of adults and children before their arrival in order to reassure the sleeping arrangements will be acceptable. The property can accommodate 4 adults (1 Queen bed in the master and 2 extra long twins in the guest room) and 2 children (double size futon in the loft). This may work for some but not for everyone. Hence the reason we communicate this before arrival. With regard to the report of the oven not working along with stained and scratchy towels and no soap. None of these concerns were brought to our attention during your stay. Unfortunately, we were not given the opportunity to look into any of these potential issues while occupying the property to make it right. It was not until after your departure and review that I was made aware of these concerns. After learning of this, we immediately followed up. It was determined the oven worked perfectly fine (also verified by our next guest, a family of 5) and the towels showed no indication being defective as you described. We can't verify the bathrooms not being stocked with fresh bars of packaged soap. The cleaners may have missed this. If that was the case we apologize for that. However, had you communicated any of these issues while staying at the property they would have been addressed immediately. We always have on hand new supplies of bath products, soap etc. Unfortunately, you did not give us the opportunity to address your concerns. We appreciate your business all the same. My only suggestion when renting a private home is to bring any issues you might have to the home owner's attention during your stay. Not after the fact.
