A haven in the Welsh Mountains

We loved every minute of our stay. We were nestled in the Welsh mountains and surrounded by beauty. We felt so close to the natural world . We were able to have easy access to the mountains, enjoy the birds and the stillness of this place. Thanks to Ian for making us welcome. We were sad to leave but hope to return soon.

Fantastic location but....

Very close to national park and the property is great with wonderful views but the track to the property is very narrow, edged with a wall and lots of overgrown brambles so you can easily do more damage to a car than the cost of the stay . Would suit small car. Footpath to National Trust land also overgrown and impassable . If these things don’t concern you then 5 star property.

The new growth of honeysuckle, foxgloves, blackberry and ferns that overhangs the road is this seasons fresh growth occurring since the hedges were trimmed earlier in the year, it's softer than the brushes at a carwash and unlikely to cause damage to a car. Furthermore it's a vital habitat for wildlife providing shelter and food for birds and butterflies, moths, bats and voles. The bridleway to National Trust land is similarly blessed with verdant and varied plant species, far from impassable for all but the least adventurous it's regularly used by walkers, cyclists, and horse riders.
