Was just as described. Had the most relaxing time. So wonderful to fall asleep to the sound of the pond in the backyard. Beds are awesome, bedding so nice. Highly recommend!
It was a great home and the backyard was especially lovely with the water feature, private feel and sauna. The kitchen and bedrooms were great. The host was very responsive and we appreciated her attention. The only thing we found a bit difficult was the living room. Having 2 beds in the livingroom as couches wasn't very comfortable for visiting. We had a lovely stay, Sooke was great, the weather awesome, and we had lots of walking and beach time. Many thanks.
The place was great, and mostly clean (we did find a chocolate bunny wrapper in coffee table). Great location, communication was very easy. Check in/out of as simple. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!
Everything was lovely right down to the little chocolates left for us for Valentines day. Very walk able and most beaches and sight seeing short drive away.Local breweries all amazing highly recommend SOB
I have stayed at many places all over Vancouver island, but this one was one of the better experiences and is very good value for the money. The soaker tub outside, the sauna, the outdoor fire pit, and robes
made it extra cozy and special. I will book again for aure!
My friend and I had a delightful stay while we were participating in the Sooke Philharmonic Chamber Music Workshop. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen amenities abundant, and the birds frequenting the backyard pools and fountains entertained us daily.
A spa retreat. Ambient interior and serene Japanese garden with cedar soaker tub and cedar infrared sauna. Great kitchen and comfortable lounge. Easy location.
A lovely experience. Highly recommend. 💎
A modern, yet rustic log cabin home. Very cozy with private back yard. Just a couple of blocks from the Sooke boardwalk and a two minute drive to shops, restaurants, and a high-speed EV charger. Five minutes from Whiffen Spit. The property manager made sure we were comfortable and that we had everything to make our stay a pleasant one. Would highly recommend.
The time we spent at this cozy relaxing log cabin was most enjoyable. Everything you could ask for is there….and then some! Clean and well maintained both inside and out. Beautiful spacious private backyard! Conveniently located close to all amenities. The host, Michelle makes you feel welcome the moment you arrive.
The host was warm and welcoming and checked (text) to make sure our first night was good and if we needed anything. We made use of the soaker tub, sauna and had a fire one night. The kitchen was perfect as we all took turns cooking meals. We also enjoyed the large table where we could gather for games and meals. The little touches were love including the local soap products in the bathrooms. The only thing of note is that the floors were a bit cold, given the way the cabin is heated, but just remember your slippers and you will be fine!
We just stayed overnight to get the feel of the Sooke area and to experience a different kind of house/property. It's clear that the owner made every effort to make things comfortable, warm, and clean. Much appreciated. The highlight was the sauna and soaker tub. The warning about adding cold water to adjust the temperature after filling the tub with hot water should be made a bit more explicit, though, as the hot water is really hot. Thank you to Michelle for making the property available!
We booked the Log Cabin Retreat for a Christmas vacation with family that live in Sooke & Sidney.
The magic began when we saw the cabin sparkling with Christmas lights. Once inside we found it to be toasty warm, thanks to the heat pump. The ambiance was beautifully set with the electric fire place blazing and Christmas tree all aglow. We really appreciated all the attention to detail that was made on our behalf.
The kitchen was well appointed so we were able to host a family Brunch easily. The king bed in the master was so comfortable with the thickest Duvet & softest sheets. We also appreciated the electric fire place & en-suite bath. We loved our Christmas stay and our host was helpful & attentive to our needs.
Beautiful home with lots of amenities and a peaceful back yard.Only thing that could be improved was towels, they were very thin and you might want to bring some for beaches.Overall it was as listed and fully stocked and had comfy beds as well!
Just what a log cabin should be; homey, warm, and comfortable. And the back yard was like a private little oasis with a water feature, table, chairs and a BBQ. Very quiet and private.
