Lake was great to swim in, and the house came with a canoe and a kayak. Well provisioned kitchen. Very quiet area. Near hiking and waterfalls and all kinds of things, but we were mostly happy to hang out by the lake. Hosts were wonderful. Thanks so much for a great stay!
The property was fine for a group of eight. Everything was provided, from a complete kitchen, to waterfront equipment and games and puzzles. The lake is a beautiful place to swim, canoe and kayak, or just relax on the dock and hope the loon comes closer. Our family enjoyed it very much.
We had a wonderful time staying in Karin and Keith's beautiful lakeside house. Located on a quiet pond with motorboat restrictions, we were treated to enjoyable swimming, boating and fishing . When weather didn't permit these activities, we enjoyed the trappings of their house with its exquisite furnishings. Moultonboro provided a good array of stores and restaurants for us to explore as well. We would love to visit again!
Nicely appointed rental. Did not lack for anything of importance. Owners next door so communication was easy. Quiet lake (no motorboats). Very peaceful.
Wonderful country lake house that is extremely comfortably for an extended family. There was lots for the grand kids to do and explore. The serenity of the property and the scenic view of the lake and mountains was tonic for the soul as was the haunting cry of the loons at dusk. Rate this one a 12 on the 10 point scale!
As soon as our family entered Loon Lodge, we felt at home. It is spacious, beautifully laid out and stocked with everything we needed. The basics are excellent. There is evidence of a skilled wood-worker throughout and many touches of history that reminded us of intimate, carefully curated museums. The waterfront and views are lovely. Of course, the hosts couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. I agree with all the positive reviews.
The setting is stunning and the dock at Loon Lodge is indeed a great spot to watch (and hear) the loon couple that has staked out Lee's Pond as its summer home. It was wonderful waking up in the morning and seeing the fog rise off the lake through the big windows on both floors. Property owner Karin Nelson, who lives next door, could not have been more accommodating. She let us traipse through her property to her small beach and use her canoes and sailboat. The house was very comfortable for five adults and three small children. The kids loved the basement playhouse although the weather was so glorious all week we spent most of our time outdoors. Fishing off the dock was a favorite pastime. The house more than met our expectations.
If you're looking for relaxation and quiet this is the place. The pond water is clean and the views are great. The screened porch was a blessing in the evenings and we all enjoyed listening to the loons. There were a few things that bothered us and the first was cleanliness as we paid a cleaning fee and felt, especially with the pandemic, it wasn't clean enough for us. Second, I was put off with ripped bed sheets and third, without a little beach area it was awkward to get into the kayak and on floats. Other than that we had a very restful and good time.

Dear Sharon:
I'm sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied with the condition of the house, as I've never had any complaints from any other guests. That being said, I AM breaking in a new cleaning gal this year, and I would appreciate knowing exactly what wasn't up to par so I can pass it on to her. You should have told me about the ripped sheets, and we could easily have replaced them with extras in the closet. As far as a beach, we DO have one on our property next door that we allow folks with small children to use, or people having trouble accessing the water. You certainly could have used it had we known you had problems getting into the boats.

A peaceful place on the lake!
The pictures depict this property exactly the way it is. The house is a "true family" house. You can tell the house has many memories of the family who owns it. You can feel the way it was over the years. My family enjoyed the fishing, swimming, and beautiful surrounding towns. Even though we had rain one day, we were able to watch movies, play games, and enjoy the sights. The house was large enough for everyone to spread out or be together. The screened in porch was a "special place" to meet.
Karin was extremely attentive to all our needs. A gracious hostess!

Peaceful, clean, excelent lake with dock, house has everything you should need!
Large house in the trees with a great short path to dock & beautiful lake. The house's 1st-floor entry, kitchen, and living/dining room are wide open non carpeted areas great for wheelchair access. There is a ramp from inside the garage to inside the house for access. The stairs have a chairlift but we never needed it with the 1st-floor bedroom & full bathroom. We brought our own ramp for wheelchair access to the large screened-in back porch. The house & decor is not new but has everything you need and more. Lots of stocked closets with extra sheets towels and blankets, board games and books. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pans & utensils. The home is lovely, and made for a centrally located perfect short fall getaway.
Great house located on a beautiful, peaceful pond. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of room for us to gather to eat & play games around the large table. Had a lot of fun "trying" to play ping pong and venturing out onto the pond. This is a wonderful property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
This property is amazing. We had access to the lake and canoe. Both our families enjoyed the experience of living at the lake for a week . We planned small outings for the kids for part of the day and spent the evenings fishing and swimming from the dock . I highly recommend this property
We enjoyed our stay! This home has a beautiful view, and we enjoyed paddling the pond. We saw loons, an egret, and a bald Eagle. Our grandson had fun with the playhouse. Thank you for the warm welcome and responsiveness.
Very nice house, close to the lake and exactly like the description. Came up for some ice fishing. Path to the lake was a little steep in the snow and ice but did give us direct access to the lake. Fish were scarce, but we had the lake to ourselves and had a great time.
This place couldn't have been better--much more of a house than a cottage. Terrific deck, screened porch and dock with canoes and kayak. Many kinds of recreational equipment avail, including nice bikes. We cooked every night and appreciated the homey, well-equipped kitchen with a table in the center. Comfortable beds and great bathrooms, including a gigantic tub in the master. We especially appreciated being able to store our bikes in the garage. The very friendly host gave us great advice about where to hike and bike. We plan to return!
This house had everything that we were looking for; well stocked home, comfortable, easy lake access with boats, access to beach, lots of amenities, close to many activities and excellent communication and responsiveness from the hosts.
We had a wonderful time at Karin and Keith's lovely home on quiet Lee's Pond. The house has everything you could ever need for a quality vacation. The pond (more like a small lake) is quiet and lovely place for swimming. The house was very, very comfortable for our family gathering to celebrate my Mom's 90th birthday. Karin and Keith are very responsive owners, answering any questions that we had. We hope to return in future summers - this is a special palce.
Wonderful property on a small quiet pond. House had everything we needed and was very well equipped for our 2 week stay. Host lives next door and was great to communicate with. All we needed to bring with us were clothes and food, everything else was provided. Loves using the canoe, kayak and SUP! Will definitely go back.
