We stayed in this home and fell in love with the location and amenities so we decided to buy it!!
We want to invite you to experience the peace and comfort of outport living close to the city as we did. It is truly the best of both worlds as you will have a beautiful spacious 3 bedroom home with all the comforts of home along with no shortage of things to do from exploring the wonders of St. John's, drive the scenic coast line, hike the East Coast Trail, or have a peaceful evening in the upstairs sitting area taking in the beautiful scene of the ocean.

Amazing old house, loved it all. The views were great, also great walking trails nearby. Had everything we needed, talked to some friendly neighbors and enjoyed every minute of it. You have a beautiful province and us prairie people sure get a workout walking your streets!

Wonderful home away from home. Outfitted with everything we needed to host two dinners for 12 people. Easy drive to St. John's. Wonderful views from all over the house. Comfortable beds, enough room for all. Highly recommend, we will be back!

Perfect lication

I would recommend staying here, hands down! It’s a lovely outport home, amazing views from the upper story living room and very comfortable and well equipped overall. In addition, it’s an easy trip into St. John’s and through surrounding area to take in all the attractions on offer.

Charming home away from home

Our stay in this Pouch Cove home was wonderful. We had everything we needed to prepare for all of our adventures. It's close enough to St. John's to travel back and forth daily yet far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again if we are fortunate enough to make it back to beautiful Newfoundland and Labrador!

Perfect location in Newfoundland

First time visiting Newfoundland. Beautiful home with everything we needed for our stay. Walking distance to trails, oceanside picnic area. People are friendly. Host responded to questions within minutes. Will definitely be returning!

Pouch Cove Comfort

Very cozy. A good fit for our needs. Full kitchen and laundry. Quiet but close enough to St. John’s to be able to visit all the sites. Great hiking out the door. We hope to be back.

Inconveniences

We were made aware of road construction after it was too late to get a refund to look for another spot. The town was on a boil order and 2 cases of drinking water was provided but the water was shut off for a day. After the water was turned back on they flushed the pipes which caused the toilet to back up several times and we had to clean up the mess. The floors hadn’t been cleaned and was crawling with carpenter bugs.

This is the first time I am hearing about carpenter bugs, we will look into what we can do to eliminate them. The home in Pouch Cove was a lovely, comfortable home that served us very well for our month long vacation in Newfoundland. It was half hour from St. John's, and close to so many stunningly beautiful places to visit in the area. Loved our stay, very memorable.

Why they chose this property

We stayed at this property in 2019 and loved it so much, we decided to buy it! We found it to be a quiet, peaceful getaway while being close enough to the city to take advantage of all the unique offerings in St John's.

What makes this property unique

The property is a recently renovated saltbox-style house located near the ocean. The trail head for the East Cost Trail is minutes from the front door.
