This private Kasilof riverfront property is located on the confluence of Kasilof River and Crooked Creek. This is one of if not the best spot on the Kasilof with easy river access. This is a fenced in property that has a very private feel to it since you will not see any other homes while you are enjoying your stay. The only things you will see are a few anglers trying their skills with fly rods as well as the occasional drift boat. No motors are allowed on the river while fishing for kings which makes the river extra special. Enjoy your time down on the river fishing ,on the deck enjoying the view or down by the fire pit. The sound of the flowing river will be heard wherever you choose. Also this property has one of 2 private boat launches on the entire river that guides can easily pick you up at if you choose. The house has a private master with bathroom as well as a large bedroom/loft with a full size and 2 single beds. Large stackable washer dryer are included. Grill is in the deck as well as having a comfortable living room though most people spend their time on the deck when not fishing. (House is approx. 1250sq ft)
Note: Please review Alaska fishing rules and regulations and abide by the fishing licensing and fish handling especially of any Steelhead or Dolly Varden Trout caught
Typical Salmon fishing season:
Steelhead fishing early Spring (April) and late fall
KIngs start May 15th Peak June 20th
2nd King run in July August
Reds Start around middle of June.
Silvers in August and September. Be aware that if you are planning on fishing in the river by the property the river depth and height changes drastically throughout the year and get deeper and has a faster current from July through October. This is due to the snowmelt at Tustemena Lake. There is always a great option next door in the Crooked Creek Stare Park that has excellent fishing platforms to also fish from.
It is tough to capture the uniqueness of this property on pictures but it is very special.
