A very lively pedestrian area in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, Les Halles district is named after the old Halles Baltard, the market hall which used to stand on the site and was described by Émile Zola as the "Belly of Paris". This building was deemed obsolete in the 70s and made away for the Forum des Halles, a big shopping centre at the heart of the capital. Entirely renovated in the 2010s, the latter now boasts a remarkable architectural feature, the Canopy, an immense glass and steel structure with plant-like curves… A temple of fashion, this complex contains many shops as well as a library, conservatory, hip hop centre, swimming pool, cinema, cafes and restaurants. To get there by public transport, you can go via the world's biggest underground station, the Châtelet - Les Halles Metro and RER station. In the Les Halles district, you can also stroll along the pedestrian streets of Rue Montorgueil, Tiquetonne and Quincampoix, which are lovely places for a walk and have a number of shops. On your walk, you can also see the magnificent Gothic Church of St Eustace, the Bourse de Commerce with its cupola on top, and the Renaissance-style Innocents fountain. A beautiful park of around 4 hectares provides a wonderful backdrop for the Church of St Eustace: the Nelson Mandela Garden, which opened in 2013, offers tired walkers and shoppers a much-appreciated place to relax!
Châtelet - Les Halles (metro 1, 4, 7, 11, 14 / RER A, B, D)

First time in Paris and this was a perfect location! clean place with lots of food and shops near by. Windows are thin so if you’re a light sleeper you may want to bring ear plugs as the place is in the middle of it all.
Nice little place to stay. Very close to shopping, food and the Metro. Was easy to find and had lots of activity right outside. Loved the provided fans to help keep cool.

First time to Paris
Overall, the stay was fine. However, one of the bedroom windows did not lock and the noise from the nightclub across the back alley kept us up all night.
We stayed in this apartment in Oct. 2022. The pictures are very accurate. Everything was clean, bright, and almost new!! The apt looks updated and the location was perfect! My parents (75 yrs) also stayed with us. The 2nd bedroom was very comfortable and the extra bathroom was perfect! I definitely recommend this apt to anyone looking to stay in the Marais. (The disco across the street is the only downside. Fortunately, the apt was on the 2nd floor so there were no problems)

While the property was very nice and perfectly located, the check in process was absolutely terrible. Not only are the keys at a completely separate location 10 minutes away from the apartment, the check in documents had multiple different addresses/locations of where the keys could be. The keys also were not available at the pick-up time listed either. Once the keys were picked up, there were also multiple different codes to enter the front door of the building and 3 more doors to enter after that. The apartment itself is nice, located directly across from the night club so if you like scavenger hunts and dancing late hours into the night, this might be the perfect place for you.
There was a leak in the small bathroom
Paint was peeling off, there was a black area in the corner of the ceiling , I am not sure if this was a hole or mould , this bathroom smelled , there was evidence of a leak in the front hallway
The sofa bed was broken, the floor in the shower was cracking , the small bathroom’s toilet seat was broken
The place looked good on the website ,
This shouid not be rented until it is fixed
I would like my money back
This is completely false advertising on the website
I have travelled the world and have never had an experience like this

Didn’t seem like property had been cleaned prior to our stay. There was “complimentary” water in the fridge that had been opened and the last people’s left overs in there as well. Both bathrooms had half of a small roll of toilet paper, no paper towels, napkins or tissues in the apartment. Pretty ridiculous to expect 3 women using restrooms to have enough toilet paper for three nights. When I reached out for more I was told no one would be able to arrive for hours- if even that day and I had to go out to buy my own. Closet was unlocked and full of dangerous cleaning supplies and disgusting dirty towels- not safe for my two small children. Area is loud and fun for young people but I would not say family friendly as it is across the street from a loud 24/7 night club. Curtains were not adequate in stopping light from outdoor lights on building. There was black mold growing on the shower wall, ceiling and drain- disgusting. Check in directions were incorrect, thankfully I figured it out on my own. Pull out couch bed was comfortable.

The apartment is very central, close to Les Halle, Chatelet and Etienne Marcel metro stations, so well situation for lots of restaurants, shops, cafes and easy walking to Notre Dame, Louvre, Champs Elysee etc. Apartment was clean and had everything you needed for a short stay. Night-time was a bit noisy until late/early so needed to keep the windows closed, tricky on very hot nights. There were 3 of us and the second bedroom is a glass framed room within the main living room, which worked well for us. My only small issue was the check in process as I didnt receive the email with the directions. Keys are collected from/returned at a KeyNest location about a 10 minute walk away - worth knowing as it is a bit awkward with bags.

Here are some comments about our stay. It appeared to be mostly an accurate pictoral representation on the website with some small but important issues.
-Sink in main bathroom not attached properly
various outlets / plugs dangerously unattached
Front door knob to flat broken
No working WIFi - very important
No working TV-important
2 or 3 main lights not working correctly
No bedroom night tables
No powder room mirror
Crack in shower stall floor
No mention of noisy disco / neighborhood “adult shops” that were noisy till early in the morning.

Phenomenal Stay in Paris!
Loved our stay in Paris! The location was 2 minutes away from phenomenal food, shopping, and the metro. The host took the time to greet us and show us the place and also gave us a wonderful suggestion to purchase a weekly metro pass. I would most definitely recommend this location and look forward to returning again.

Good place to stay in Paris
Great location, plenty of space with good beds. Only gripes are that the WiFi is incredibly spotty and will fail sometimes as well as being located directly above a few bars which means cigarette smoke will drift into the apartment during the evenings especially if you have your windows open as is a must during the summer. It wasn’t awful but you could smell it.
