This unit lived up to the pictures! The location could not have been better. Two miles to town and 2 miles to RMNP. Everything was in working order and the unit was spotless. Thanks for a great family vacation!
It was nice, clean, roomy, quiet. Location was great -- not in town but close enough that driving to town was no big deal. Any complaints would be extremely minor (e.g., the blender wouldn't come apart for proper cleaning, unless it was a kind I've never seen before). Hummingbirds were great. Saw deer in our "back yard." RMNP itself is improved since the onset of using the timed entry permits -- you can always get a parking place in the park-and-ride, which was not the case several years ago. Would absolutely stay in this property again.
Loved our stay! Super convenient to town but just far enough out to have the mountain feel. The place was just as advertised. Clean and well stocked! Would definitely recommend!
This was the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. Beautiful views, quiet location, hiking out back made this the best family vacation. Didn’t miss air conditioning which is unusual for us. We’d stay here again!
Our family loved our stay here. It is beautiful and a wonderful location. The home is clean and well cared for and very well stocked. I would love to come back. We had a wonderful time. The views are amazing from both the front and back of the house with multiple patios to enjoy!
We enjoyed our stay at this lovely house with great views. It was quiet and peaceful. We liked watching and listening to the various birds including hummingbirds from the various decks and seeing some deer with babies in the backyard. It was quick and easy to go into town as well as visit RMNP. Highly recommend staying at Deer Mountain Retreat!
We rented this property for our family vacation. We could not have been more pleased. With a convenient location, this property is close to all of the fun in Estes Park. The views out the back are gorgeous and we had a nice time taking in all that Colorado has to offer. Highly recommend.

Our family loved this property! We’ve stayed at many places in Estes and this is one of our favorites. Place is very clean and well stocked. Would visit again! Great location as well and easy to get to the park and town.
The only thing I would change is better pillows, the beds in master and bedroom with queen was comfortable. The bunk room mattress was not comfortable.
This is a clean property in a beautiful area. The views are fantastic. The condo is very roomy. The kitchen was well equipped. Loved that there is a trail behind the condo. The internet was good. I was there a couple of days without a car. I did discover Good Rides which was great. There is nothing within safe walking distance. The shuttle from the airport was excellent. The futon in the third bedroom was not comfortable. I did want permission to wait on the deck for my shuttle pick up on my last day there. I called several times beginning on the second day of my eight day stay. Every time I was told someone would get back to me. That never happened. I made sure I vacated the property at the 10 o’clock checkout. I was frustrated not to receive a reply.
This is a great property almost directly between downtown Estes Park and the RMNP entrance (about 5 minutes either way). We would definitely stay there again. It was a comfortable fit for my family of five. Just a heads up, there isn’t any air conditioning, and the western facing rooms can get warm in the afternoon/evening, but the temperature drops quickly once the sun goes behind the mountains and the owners have left fans in every room.
Our family enjoyed our stay this summer at Fall River Estates. The location was great, right next to the RMNP. The condo was clean, very roomy, and backed up to hiking trails we could hike. My daughter and I actually saw a doe and her two babies on that walk! We would for sure come back again.
