We really enjoyed the ranch property and the relaxation getting out and away. The animals nearby and the pond were fantastic. My wife loved visiting the donkey and seeing the horses running around and getting to pet them.
I reached out to the property owners on July 4th(of all days) and Maria was very quick to respond. I booked same day for our August trip and my friends and I were not disappointed. House was exactly as described and pictured and the animals were a plus to add to a relaxing week! The WiFi was a bit funky the first day but Maria was quick to reset it and it seemed fine after that. Not for heavy use though. We did stop by the beach around the corner for one of our activities and it was great! I would definitely recommend and I am already thinking about booking again next year.
Quiet country setting in a great area. Excellent stay just outside the busy Denton area. Fishing, relaxing and small town charm in Pilot Point, TX. Would stay again.
We enjoyed our first stay a year ago for our family reunion in pilot point. It is a perfect location close to our reunion site. So we booked again for the 2025 reunion. Thanks so much

Our stay its self was okay. My family did enjoy the outdoors and property, fishing the pond and seeing all the horses. We stayed for several nights. Two nights before we were scheduled to check out, my husband, in the middle of the night found a bed bug on his back. He didn’t tell me till morning, and was hoping it wasn’t from the rental and perhaps from somewhere we had previously been, as you just never know with places. Later that day when we came back, upon further inspection we did find evidence of bed bugs in the master bedroom behind the nightstand. We decide at that point the checkout early. To do our best to prevent any bugs going home, my husband spent extra money on cleaners and pesticides, and bug bombs. Our last day was spent cleaning All our belongings, laundering everything in high heat. Things that couldn’t, we baked outside in 112* heat. When we got home the next day, instead of relaxing we cleaning all over again, everything was laundered in high heat AGAIN! It was incredibly stressful. Inside the rental wasn’t exactly as listed. The listing shows white walls. That are not, they are wood panels. There were spots in the floor that were ripped, the couches smelled slightly like urine. The master bed frame had dust, dirt and a ton of pet hair in it. The more the couches were sat on, more and more pet hair started coming out. While we enjoyed our trip outside the rental, I would highly recommend a deeper cleaning between guests and fumigating the property.

Hi Sheena, I’m sorry to see this review and that this was your experience, particularly because you stayed at the property for multiple days and we were not made aware of the suspected bed bug issue, or any other concerns with the property, until after your stay was over and you had already left. Had you contacted us when you first discovered what you believed to be evidence of bed bugs, we would have immediately investigated the concern and arranged for professional assistance if needed.
When you did contact us, we took the concern seriously and offered you a refund before we had even had the opportunity to investigate or confirm what you found.
I’m also surprised by the additional cleanliness concerns mentioned in your review, as we consistently receive positive feedback about the cleanliness of the property. None of these concerns were communicated to us at any point during your multi-night stay. Had we known something was not up to standard, we would have appreciated the opportunity to address it while you were there.
I’m glad your family enjoyed the property, fishing pond, horses, and time outdoors though but we’re sorry that the end of your stay was stressful.
My crew and I came down to work in Aubry for a couple weeks. Enjoyed our stay. The house was nice and clean.
