Ranch-Style Farmhouse in the Rolling Hills of Northwestern Pennsylvania
This 1950s Vintage Ranch-Style Farmhouse in the Country is a Perfect Setting for Your Family Get-Away • This family homestead reflects the love, strength and support of family. Nestled in the rolling foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, this rancher provides a country atmosphere with access to over 30 acres. During your stay, we welcome you to enjoy fresh in-season produce from the garden (e.g., beans, squash, tomatoes, cucumbers), raspberries, blackberries, grapes and apples. During winter months the rolling hills provide great snow sledding and snow shoeing opportunities. After a day in the snow, you and your family can reflect on the memorable events of the day in front of the fireplace. • The homestead includes 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, fully-equipped kitchen and game room in the basement. The large covered back deck overlooks the serene country setting. Often times in the evening, deer are seen sneaking into the orchard to feed. The deck also includes a dining table, multiple patio chairs, and an outdoor propane grill. There is also a picnic pavilion just off the back deck with a large picnic table, and Pop-Pop's porch swing overlooking the garden. Other amenities include a washer, dryer, fireplace, TV, DVD player and free Wi-Fi (works well for web browsing and emails but not for streaming). • If you love nature, there is plenty of wildlife and amazing hiking opportunities on the 30+ acre premises that are available for your enjoyment. There are also many nearby attractions. Within a 30 minute drive, you can enjoy Tionesta Lake, Canadohta Lake, Woodcock Lake, Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad, Drake Well Museum, Queen City hiking and biking trail system, and much more. In under an hour drive you can also enjoy all that Erie, PA has to offer, including Presque Isle State Park. The western border of the Allegheny National Forest is only 25 miles east of our homestead property. • Perfect for couples, families, friends, and anyone else who wants to get away from it all. Please note that at least one guest must be 25 or older. • No cleaning fee is charged for this property.

We love your property! Our group is dwindling, I am hoping that that we can still pull enough of us together to make it feasible. I am thinking I may try to get my kids and their families together at your place sometime. Thank you so much!

I’m so glad you’ve found your home away from home! Our Homestead has been bringing family and friends together for almost 70 years, and we’d be delighted to host your family sometime. We hope you can come back and bring them!
We had very pleasant stay. The bedrooms were spacious, the stars at night were beautiful, the house was pre-stocked with some essentials such as cooking spices and coffee (!). Communication was easy. It can be a bit hard to find at night, but that's just because it gets fairly dark.
The beds were comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. The country setting was private. The host is very easy to talk with and always responds to questions quickly.
I just didn’t expect someone to be working in the front yard while you’re renting the venue to enjoy it, especially without interrupting your privacy. Although this may have been communicated, it still doesn’t give the landlord the right to come over and disrupt the guests’ privacy.

It makes sense that affecting your feeling of privacy was concerning for you. I can accept that our need for lawn maintenance ahead of time was not what you would have hoped for your stay, even with our advance notice.
For the benefit of potential guests reading this, I’ll clarify that it is our custom to communicate about the potential need for yard maintenance several days ahead of any guest’s stay. This information was included with the document about check in details.
In addition to this general notice, we make an effort to alert guests ahead of time about specific visits, which happened in this case as well. The visit in question was quiet, about an hour in length, confined to the expansive yard, and at least 50 feet from the house at all times.
The Homestead is a beautiful quiet place, with a well maintained lawn and an active garden and small orchard. These require weekly touch points, which are handled with the most discretion and concern for peaceful stays for our guests.
This house was just as how it was described. Host was very nice and great communication. Property is beautiful we took some awesome pictures there. Would definitely come back.
Our stay was shortened due to drain issues n smell which was beyond their control but they were Awesome to work with and made effort to fix the issue.

I'm so sorry this happened during your stay. Fortunately we were able to identify and fix the problem shortly after your abbreviated visit. Hopefully you can come back sometime!
Our stay was wonderful! The house was better than expected! We had 5 adults and 2 dogs and we were all very happy! The beds were especially comfy!
We enjoyed the back deck which was incredibly quiet and peaceful.
We would definitely stay here again!
This property is amazing. Quiet and quaint with a beautiful view of the back property from the deck. Abundant wildlife to view and areas to explore with all of the amenities that you would find in the comfort of your own home. Would happily book this property again.
