"Svenska Hemnet I Tall Arna" - Small home in tall trees . . . The Gelber's cabin has been recently remodeled and is located near Ward Creek in the Pineland area. Relax on the back deck and enjoy your favorite beverage!

This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath home has a washer, dryer, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, large gas range and convection oven, woodstove in the living room, television with cable, DVD, Bose radio with CD, wireless internet, small dining room table and 2 bar stools at the granite counter top. There is patio furniture on the back deck.

Walk to Ward Creek, Sunnyside or the public beach next to Sunnyside. It's also close to many hiking trails and the bike trail which continues down the west shore to Sugar Pine State Park. Enjoy world class skiing within a short drive - Palisades/Alpine Ski Resort, Homewood Mountain Resort and Northstar at Tahoe!

This home does not allow any parties or events as this home is in a residential neighborhood, and quiet time is from 9pm-8am. Thanks for your cooperation!

There is an electric fence system at this house to protect it from bears when unoccupied. Detailed instructions will be given to you once booked.

Cleaning fee includes linens and towels. You may want to bring beach towels, as those are not provided.

Adorable Cabin in the Tahoe Woods

My family and I spent a few days at the Gelber cabin and it was wonderful. The house was warm and welcome upon arrival, we were very comfortable and our girls loved the house! We have a 1 and a 3 year old and the girls had so much fun playing on both levels of the house. The entire house was very clean and we loved the porch! Will come again and cant wait to stay longer!

Gelber’s Cabin

Everything was just as advertised. The location was beautiful. The floors and counters we dirty when we checked in. I contacted the property manager and the had the property cleaned the next morning.

The house has been taken care of with modern appliances and has a good location. We had a problem with TV reception in the family room. Also, we noticed a kitchen sink leak which needed to be addressed. Julie was very helpful when we called about the TV but it just went out again so we just enjoyed nature and playing cards!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The tranquillity of this cabin was not experienced here. Instead, during the 5 nights we stayed, there was uncomfortable and ill repaired furniture on the deck, daily heavy equipment use to improve the property next door, and loud parties to end the nights. Upon requesting some resolution by the property company and owner we were told we reported too late, that there were calls they could have made, and that chairs were in good working order. We didn’t need you (owners or property manager) to shut down construction for 40mins of their 9hr day, call the sheriff to quell party noise, or have you buy or repair deck furniture while we were there. We simply needed to know all of the above was in play so we could’ve made a much better choice-like what was actually advertised. Bait and switch is what it felt like. The management and owner’s unwillingness to remedy by even one night is simply deplorable.

Big wedding weekend

Our group had several cabins in the neighborhood. This one was the most modern and well maintained of the few I saw. The living room was a bit smaller than I expected, but still ample. The main floor bedroom was perfect for mom using a walker. The biggest negative was the smoke from a distant wild fire and there's nothing the host can do about that. I'd gladly stay there again.

Little Home Away From Home❤️

Our family of 6 loved our stay at this roomy cabin. The cabin is set in a quiet neighborhood and has a nice patio deck facing the woods/Ward Creek. The cabin was very clean, well kept and had all the amenities we needed during our recent week-long stay. It's a great location, not far from the supermarket and restaurants of Tahoe City and the big beaches south (Meeks Bay/Pope Beach). Ward Creek, behind the cabin, offered a perfect place for the kids to splash about and have fun, all while being so close to home (2 minute walk to the creek). Julie (property manager) was very friendly and super helpful with our questions! We very much enjoyed our stay at this cabin and look forward to staying here again. Thank you!

Lovely Tahoe stay

A wonderful stay in a very comfortable cabin situated right on ward Creek. The location is excellent. It’s on a very quiet street but fairly close to the lake and not far from Tahoe city. We will definitely come back and my friends who joined me are now interested in renting the cabin for their families and themselves

Cabin was clean and ready to go the Webber a big plus for our fresh caught lake trout and steaks from the local market just minutes away Location location location set back far enough in the Forrest for absolute beauty but just minutes away from about anything you could needThanks Westlake properties and see you in the not too distant futureOnly 1 suggestion is have bear proof trash can emptied when new guest arrives so there's space in it for arriving guests between trash pick ups

Reviewer Comments: It was a lovely stay, a quiet street,( except for the construction going on "NEXT" door.) ;0. that'd of been nice to know before renting...but that said, there is a lovely creek behind the cabin just a lil' walk away. The LAKE however is more than a block..and it appears in the advertisement that it's closer....but overall, it is not terribly far, to walk down to the main road (several blocks) and cross over to Sunnyside restort...the waterfront is there. and is very NICE! There were a few things we didn't care for, like not enough TRASH space -there was NO pick-up of it, till Tuesday, we stayed about 8 nights...we had a lot of trash which my husband had to go find places to take our trash too. If staying that long, it'd be nice to have an in-between trash pick-up. Also, my daughter cut her hand on a chipped bowl she didn't see the chip as she was washing it and it cut her palm of her hand. ;/. Needs to be removed. Also the deck out back has rusty nails coming up and if you're out there barefoot as we were, almost stepped on one, Til' I noticed the nails, we put our flip flops on...these need to be hammered down!!! Also, my daughter nearly put her heel through a board that has some serious dry-rot. I feel the Deck needs some attention and maybe a couple "new" sitting chairs! There are 2 lights above the sink, which my husband is 6'2 and kept hitting his head on...;0. For the bedrooms, you really need to put a MIRROR in the upstairs queen bedroom and a chair for outside the deck. A TV'in each room would be nice as well...A few games would've been Wonderfull...The puzzles were cute! There are nice dvd's available to watch. The kitchen was well-stocked... Just fyi~ The pictures of the living area looks WAY bigger on-line than it actually is ~ but, there's Ample space for 6/7 persons if you use the stools at the counter ~ can all sorta watch a movie together... It is A warm & cozy setting and near to town which was great!

The mattresses were very comfortable, pillows were fine, towels were thick, and even toilet paper was of unexpected quality. Many rustic cabins don’t have window screens, making for impossible evening ventilation. This cabin has screens, air conditioning and ceiling fans! So...an attractive cabin with all the creature comforts and a good location!
