This rustic one-room cabin is the perfect getaway location! Nestled in the woods at the end of a 5-mile-long dirt road, we're located just 30 minutes outside Duluth. It's the perfect balance of far-enough-away and easy-to-get-to. Wake up to the sound of the birds. Fall asleep to the wind in the trees by Lake Superior. While you're here you'll have access to several hiking trails and our large sandy beach on the south shore of Lake Superior at the mouth of the Amnicon River. Reserve your cabin today!

Spring Break Getaway

Enjoyed a quiet spring break in this cabin. It was lovely and warm and cozy, with the shore of Lake Superior only a 10-15 minute walk away. Check-in was easy, and the cabin had cooking supplies available. It was a lovely break from being constantly connected, and I'd highly recommend it for a quiet getaway!

Getaway

It was lovely! The cabin was even a little roomier than expected and the outhouse was heated. I was looking for a solo trip to enjoy the outdoors and this was the perfect place to do so. Curling up with a book by the fire after being out in the cool air was just what the doctor ordered.

Beautiful grounds. Cozy cabin with everything we needed. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities (lantern for walking at night, extra blanket for by the fire, boot tray, etc.). Great communication with staff and easy check-in. Thank you!

Located at the end of a 5-mile-long dirt road, our rustic retreat center is the perfect blend of far enough away and easy enough to get to. We're just 30 minutes outside Duluth, so you can spend your days touristing if you'd like. We're also far enough from the highway that you won't be bothered by the sounds of the city or highway while you're here. It's quiet, it's peaceful, it's lovely.
