About this property

Earthsong Lodge - Queen Suite

The queen suite cabin is a nice step up from the more basic standard cabin, with almost twice the space. Bedroom, sitting room, and private bathroom, along with a private porch to take in the beauty of the Alaska Range right out the door. Recommended for people that want a queen bed instead of a double bed, and more space to stretch out and relax. Please note: There is NOT a refrigerator or microwave in the cabin. There is a communal refrigerator and microwave you will be more than welcome to use during your stay!

Great property, great staff, great experience

We stayed for just a night but would highly recommend! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the cabin we chose was cozy and comfortable. Very close to Denali National Park and surrounded by amazing views and wildlife.

The Best

Loved everything about this special place: beautiful setting, privacy (but not isolated), quaint coffee shop, friendly people, comfy bed, artful touches and of course -- the dogs! We will definitely be back!

Month-long travel through Alaska

We found our accommodations as anticipated. The cabin was clean and well organized. The joint Kitchen was not difficult. Jon made an excellent cup of coffee each morning with an amazing cinnamon roll. The location was perfect for enjoying the Denali area. We loved our stay there.

Perfect for Denali NP

Loved the property, very beautiful setting and hosts a very cute a coffee shop within the lodge community. We enjoyed the rustic cabin. One nitpick would be that the curtains were not pitch black, so falling asleep in the summer might be an issue for those sensitive to light.

Beautiful scenery, perfect size cottage (queen suite for husband, 6 month old, and I), charming lodge layout, excellent coffee and delicious cinnamon rolls at the coffee shop on site. Comfortable bed, good black out blinds, shower with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Responsive and lovely management/staff. About 30 minute drive to Denali Visitor Center, about 15-20 min drive to restaurants and the local brewery. This was the perfect spot for us. Highly recommend.

Great Find

We loved our stay at this amazing property. It was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Being so close to Denali, we had the best of the views and the feeling of being secluded without having to camp! Jon was great and accommodating. This is your best choice for staying in the Denali area.

Lovely little place!

It is a wonderful little place and you can tell it was a labor of love! The hosts really know their stuff and I was able to ask them questions about solo hiking.

Jon and Karin Nierenberg own EarthSong Lodge, and built everything on the property. Ex-park ranger and dog sled guide and expedition leader, Jon has been in this area since 1982, homesteading just a few miles north of the lodge. Karin moved to Alaska in 1990, and together they built the lodge in 1996. Both have a love of the area and Alaska, and the lodge is a way to share that love of the park with guests from all over the world.

Why they chose this property

We built the lodge because we love the area and Alaska, and enjoy sharing our love of the park with people from across the globe.

What makes this property unique

Staying at EarthSong allows a visitor to get the best from their short visit to Denali, and have accommodations that are more than just a bed to sleep in. Rather, EarthSong has been an important part of our past guests stay. Our staff is well-versed on the park, and are happy to help guests plan activities from hiking to rafting to flightseeing. Our sled dog kennels have been a consistent favorite and are the best sled dogs in the state. We are more than just a few cabins, but rather an experience, and one that is uniquely Alaskan.
