We arrived at mid afternoon and we’re able to enjoy the deck. We didn’t use the kitchen at all except to make coffee the next morning. The queen bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed staying on an island in the Mississippi River!

Weekend Getaway

We stayed here for a couple nights and brought our kids, 2 and 4. The location right on the river was excellent and overall the island was very quiet and secluded. The kids loved playing by the water, watching the towboats, and looking at the wildlife along the river. The house was clean and comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. As other reviews mention, the shower is slightly leaky but this was not a big deal for us. We enjoyed staying here and would come back again!

Wonderful Riverfront

If you love the Mississippi you'll love this place, right on the river, beautiful sunsets, small but well appointed and clean with comfy beds. Loved watching the ducks every morning. Quiet and met all of our needs. Easy access to the quad cities. Thank you Rica.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this little house on Campbell Island. Everything in the previous comments was true so I went in knowing and none of it bothered us because we were looking for a peaceful stay near the river and that's exactly what we got! Nice place , there are 16 stairs to get in .. my sweetie just had hip replaced ,, but we knew there were some stairs. The thermastat AUOTMATICALY ,goes to 64 at night ,,, we about froze,,, did not appreciate that

We didnt know the place had no privacy doors--only curtains-- but it was nice . Our 3rd person had to leave after only one night. It would have been nice to have charges reflect this...but there was no place on reservation form to indicate this...

Best 4th of July location - ever!

The deck is the best feature and it is fantastic. We sat out during the day and watched the activity on the river. We sat out at night and were treated to fireworks every night - watching both organized displays and the fireworks from houses across the river. While it was most a vacation for relaxing, there was also some working and the internet never failed us - at times we had 3 computers connected plus the random device and never had any performance issues. The kitchen had everything we need for cooking (and snacking) and it was a nice treat to have a few cold bottles of water ready for us on our arrival. We will definitely be back for another 4th.

The view was great, but we were disappointed with the property. The manager stated that the property would be clean and sanitized before our arrival. The property was not clean. The bathroom was dirty, the kitchen was not clean and the floors had sticky spots on them. We had to clean before we could use. The description that the property has well water should say that it is untreated. The water smelled like sulfur and rotten eggs.

We had no tv the whole time, NO mention of the shower being unfiltered well water. It smelled like rotten eggs every time we had to shower which sucked because we are already smelled fishy from fishing. Let alone I’m a tiny person and the shower was so small my face was like 3 inches from the shower wall trying to shower. The lights at the bottom wouldn’t even work because there was no way to plug them in. So we had to go use our own money to get an extension cord. The pictures are kinda deceiving because they are old photos. All the lights on the porch didn’t work because 99% of them were missing. The lights on the roof part to see when it was dark only 1 of the 4 worked. NO lights by the stairs worked. Just kinda disappointed. The shower door didn’t go all the way down so water got everywhere. Definitely won’t book again.
