We had a great time staying at Rosemary's place. The home was sparkling clean with all the essentials in order and with ecological products. It was easy to communicate with Rosemary and she provided us with helpful information of the area. She is a thoughtful host. This place was perfect and I highly recommend staying here.

About the host

Host profile image
I in have taught middle school math and science in Asia and on the west coast for many years. My family has lived in the Nevada City area for over 20 years and is a place I love to visit during all seasons. We are originally from the Bay Area and my mom and aunt discovered this area on a genealogy trip. They started spending more and more time in the area until moving full time, bringing other family members along. Coming to this area always rejuvenates me and gives me and my daughter access to nature (great swimming and hiking) we crave.

Why they chose this property

The location of the home is close to town and walking distance to trails making it easy to get up and get going. The grounds of the property give you the feeling of being on a camping trip but with the benefits of indoor plumbing and refrigeration. The house itself has great spaces where people can be together but also retreat.

What makes this property unique

The modern, minimalistic feel of the space is unique to the area. Big windows and high ceilings give a sense of space and light, while ensconced in the forest. High quality linens, up to date appliances, beautiful finishes and energy efficiency, make this space comfortable and easy.
