Great guests. We look forward to hosting you in the future
Fabulous stay at an immaculate traditional kiwi bach. We were so impressed by the location, cleanliness and how the property met our every need. Our host was easily contactable and the ease of access was brilliant.
Simple kiwi bach which had all we needed. Close to the lake and the shop as well as having easy access to the walking/cycling trails in the area. We'll be back!

Great communication and left the place really tidy thank you
Gorgeous little Bach, bought back childhood memories of my grandparents Bach. Couldn’t fault the cleanliness, in fact perfect condition for its age and so cosy. Absolutely loved our stay. Definitely hope to be back. Couldn’t fault a thing at all. Thank you so much.
Great place for weekend seeing family in Taupo. Quiet & homely & comfortable.
Noisy rattle on roof in wind & waterfalls from gutters in rain unfortunately.
Despite some initial adverse weather- our usual superb holiday in this timeless cottage . MTB and outdoor activities to spare…. Wonderful. Thanks so much Susan. Chris D
We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect location a short walk to lake front, with lots to do with the kids. We loved the family story of the bach and how well maintained it is.
Enjoyed as always this delightful old world setting. Ticks every box for us with great access to the beach walkways-a stroll to the store -and on the door step world class mountainbiking-tramps and access to the lake and Western Bays with Taupo a short drive away . Ready to go again -and thanks to the host.
Easy stay in timeless Kiwi bach. Very comfortable queen bed. Easy walk to beach & shops.

About the host
Hosted by Susan
This Bach was built by my husbands dad and his brother. They were both joiners in Napier. It took them 2 years to build it as they travelled from Napier in the weekends. Most of the furniture at the Bach was also made by them.
Why they chose this property
They Bach is very quant and peaceful. It is like a step back in time at a place which is very comfortable to be in. Easy short walk to the shops, marina and the lake.
What makes this property unique
Beautiful holiday spot, very relaxing and comfortable.
