Te Kohanga (The Nest) with spa and car*

This modern family home with that unique 'Waiheke holiday home feel' is nestled up in the hills of Crescent Valley, with views of the Inner Hauraki Gulf and surrounding native bush.

Featuring 4 double bedrooms, master with ensuite and a separate family bathroom. Entertainers kitchen with an open plan living space which flows out onto a rear deck with BBQ and furnished front covered deck with outdoor speakers gives that perfect indoor-outdoor living space regardless of weather conditions.

Lawned and landscaped areas surrounded by native bush and gardens. Our spa pool area is set in the bush with a view of the stars at night. Close to Palm Beach (15 mins via a walking track, 3 mins by car), Onetangi Beach and the supermarket.

Located up a no-exit road this property is property is peaceful and relaxing with few visible neighbours or noise. Excellent off street parking for up to 4 cars. Including the use of our island car subject to agreed conditions*.

Ideal for larger families or groups with all the modern conveniences, 2 flat screen TV's, Wii, Wifi, DVD, Wifi Bluetooth Stereo, Heat Pump (AC), tennis rackets, other sporting equipment plus use of boogie boards.

*Subject to driver approval.

Smoking allowed outside only.
Use of car with prior approval (but must replace petrol used).
This is our permanent residence, and vacating the home requires significant preparation. We therefore prioritise bookings of 5 nights or longer and may decline shorter stays.

Extras: Cleaning (NZ$150.00 per stay); Linen (Optional, NZ$30.00 per bed per stay).

Great stay in a welcoming home

Wonderful house, private and peaceful. Beautiful views and sun all day long. Great host who was very communicative and generous with the use of the house and amenities. Quick walk down to Palm Beach and super close to Ostend for groceries etc. Fabulous stay - would do it again.

We had a lovely stay at this house, set amongst trees, with views out towards Auckland. It is well set out and accommodated 2 families (4 adults/4 children) very well. There is a lovely covered deck with seating which we used lots as the weather was great.

Property was exactly what we hoped for when planning our trip to Waiheke. House is very comfortable and in a great location and the use of the car made everything ten times easier to get around! Amanda was a wonderful host with great, easy communication before, during and after our stay. Would highly recommend this spot to anyone wanting to stay on the island!

Christmas Adventure

We had a wonderfully relaxed stay. The house is very comfortable with plenty of space in and outside. Our hosts kindly offered the use of their car, and there were lots of games and various beach toys (body boards etc) to keep us occupied. There’s a lovely short walk from the house to a chilled beach and cafe, and loads of super restaurants nearby.

Absolute Heaven!

This is by far one of the best places I’ve rented on vrbo! The home was gorgeous- great style, comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful outdoor space & dreamy hot tub. The use of the car was key- it allowed us to explore the entire island. The place was the ideal spot for my family (my elderly father, wife & two kids 10 & 13) to arrive to in NZ, get over jet lag & experience all the beauty of Waiheke! Amanda was so wonderful also- very responsive, helpful and all around amazing. Don’t delay- book this place! I can’t wait to return one day. We all were so sad to leave.

Great house in ostend

We had a lovely time staying at Amanda’s house. The house was well presented. We loved sitting in the afternoon sunshine on the deck enjoying the view. Great location a few minutes from supermarket and cafes/restaurants/vineyards and a few minutes the other way to palm beach. Amanda’s communication was excellent. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Waiheke. Close to the car ferry too. The kids loved the spa. Great place!

Gem of a Home in Waiheke Island

My wife and I immensely enjoyed our extended 4-day Valentine's celebration at Amanda's wonderful home. Amanda is a super-host, communicating very promptly and was very attentive to our needs. It was a much-appreciated bonus that we had the complimentary use of her vehicle. She even went the extra mile that when we had mechanical problems with her SUV, she substituted it with a much newer and better car. The house is as advertised with all the amenities and conveniences mentioned, including a fully-stacked pantry that was made open for us, It was lovely to have our breakfasts and dinners at her veranda with a magnificent view. Relaxing at her spa jacuzzi tub was heavenly. We would strongly recommend her property to visitors at Waiheke Island, particularly given its very strategic location that is close to all the beautiful places to visit and dine in the Waiheke. Great Long Weekend

The property is well maintained with sufficient space and facilities for the number of guests it accommodates. All furniture and linens were clean and attractive. Property has great views and is very private but also near amenities such as supermarket. The property comes with a car which is needed as it’s a reasonable walk to any centres. Best of all the property owner was very responsive accommodating and pleasant to deal with. We had 4 couples over for a long weekend and had a great time - there was enough space for us all in the communal areas and varied spaces for eating lounging or reading. Would definitely stay again.
