Great place with lots of beds. They were very responsive to fix the wifi and get us new trash bags when we needed them. Kitchen had everything we needed, and the grill area was nice.
This is a great little getaway cabin. Plenty of room for my husband and me and our two grown children. Location was good for Yellowstone and a good day trip to the Grand Tetons. Gas and groceries nearby with other outdoor activities.
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin in Island Park. Good location to Yellowstone West Entrance; a bit of a drive, but away from the tourist traffic. The area of the cabin was nice and quiet, bed was comfortable, kitchen well stocked. Cabin was very clean, and we had good communication with owners. We ate out a few times, recommend Cafe Sabor and Lakeside Lodge for great food in the area.
Absolutely beautiful! Perfect location for fishing and Yellowstone. Amenities were great and they weren't kidding about the fully stocked kitchen. Small tools, meat thermometer, etc.
I was not aware that there's only 2 private bedrooms and the upstairs bathroom is inside the second bedroom. Wish our guests had more privacy.
Great house, lots of room, extra beds. Stayed there with my husband and our 2 grown sons. Easy drive to West Yellowstone, great restaurants etc. Grocery store is only 5 minutes away. Only draw back is there is a shower with a tub, but, the tub faucet has been removed, so, there is no bathtub option. A bit of a bummer for me.
This house was a great find! We were visiting Yellowstone and the Tetons but wanted something more spacious than staying in the parks. The drive was doable and the property was outstanding. The couch, chairs and beds were very comfortable. Our four kids loved the upper two loft areas and had more beds than they needed. The kitchen was stocked and the outdoor kitchen was a fun bonus to have. Thank you so much!
Our stay at Holden hideaway was great! Very clean. Decently comfortable beds. Outdoor cook area was great. I personally loved having the washer and dryer. It was a bonus to go home from a vacation with clean clothes! It was also nice to be able to wash bath towels as we were there for a week! There are many close sites to see, which we ended up loving even more than old faithful! The falls, big springs, the rivers to fish. I would advise to look into kayak rental ahead of your stay. Many options on marketplace and beyond. Macks Inn is spendy. I wish I would have brought my own inflatable tube or inflatable paddle board. Camp chairs for sitting by the river would be nice too!
After reserving a tragic property I had to find a place quickly. The host was professional and helped out with getting in the property in a timely manner to make the trip a wonderful experience. There are a lot of extras and everything one could need or want on the property. It was a great relief and easy communications with the owners. I would not hesitate to stay here again!
Close Enough to Yellowstone but off the Beaten Path
I was a little concerned because I went through dozens of listings and every one that looked good was booked except this one. But I checked the reviews and every single one was five star. The reviews are accurate. This place is perfect!
About 25 minutes to Yellowstone and 2 1/2 hours to Grand Teton, which is absolutely worth the drive. Different from Yellowstone, but every bit as spectacular. Just a beautiful area to visit.
We had a very pleasant stay at this cabin. Location was great. Cabin is less than 30 minutes to Yellowstone west gate. Plus plenty of things to do and explore in Island Park. Grocery and gas is 5 minutes away for last minute items and food. Cabin is located in quiet subdivision of Island Park. At night we really felt like we're the only ones in the woods because the cabin is surrounded by tall trees. We had a party of 6 adults and there's like 8 beds in this cabin. Sure can sleep larger groups. No AC during hot summer nights but it was manageable with fans provided. Upper lodge with 2 twin bed can get hot in the summer but we didn't have to sleep up there. Kitchen was well stocked so we cooked a bunch. Luandry can be done here in the cabin also. Outside kitchen was very nice and we used it and eat outside every night for a week. Propane tank was almost empty when we got there and the outside fridge was off and we couldn't figure out how to turn it on so we contacted Jamie. Jamie was very responsive. Every time we needed something or a question we contacted her via vrbo and she responded quickly. We left a couple of bear sprays at the cabin since we cannot take it onto the airplane. Hope it's still there for the future guests. Overall I would recommend this cabin for guests visiting Yellowstone.
Wow, this met every expectation! There was plenty of space for all of us, the kitchen was very well stocked, the family room had enough seating that was comfortable, and plenty of outdoor space being nestled in the woods and a good distance from any neighbors. Definitely would stay again!
We stayed at Holdens Hideaway during our adventure to Yellowstone. The cabin was clean, and accommodated all of our needs. The cabin was updated and thoughtfully decorated. I wish we had another whole day to just enjoy all the things the cabin had to offer. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a bit more privacy and every amenity a house offers.
This property was amazing! There is lots of space/beds. The TV is a Roku TV, so although there's no cable, there are tons of DVDs, and if you are signed up to every streaming app like we are, Roku TV is perfect!!! This was a great surprise! Although it is "woodsy" around, there are neighbors across that street from the property, so you're not totally secluded.
The outdoor kitchen is convenient and provides nice grilling opportunities. Check in was seamless. Great communication from the owners/managers. There is no A/C as mentioned, but the heat (wall) and gas fireplace work great! Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Living room furniture was extremely comfy! Washer and dryer is in the main bedroom but happy to have them!
Island Park is about 30 minutes away from West Yellowstone, so next time we may stay closer to the park. Driving back and forth every day for 5 days really adds to the trip. Otherwise, we would definitely stay here again. Seamless process, fantastic property!

It was more than what was advertised. An exceptional stay for a Yellowstone adventure.
We enjoyed the cabin. The boys loved the upstairs. Super clean and roomy. We even had a fox friend come right up to the porch and say hi. The door code wasn’t in the email, so just make sure you ask for it before you get to the cabin because there is very little cell service there and you’ll have to drive back out to be able to call. It’s a little farther away from Yellowstone than I would prefer for next time but the drive was manageable.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cabin, (4 adults). Excellent location for access to Yellowstone Park and if you want to head south to the Tetons, which we did. Cabin was super comfortable and inviting, with all the amenities , (plus more!), listed. We heard a bear huffing around outside in the early morning hours, probably annoyed we didn't leave it any snacks. Would highly recommend this cabin for larger families as there were plenty of beds and space. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!
