A Bach in the heart of Oakura Village

Close to the beautiful Oakura beach, only 5 min walk away.
The local shops and great pub are only a 2 min walk away.
Oakura is a top summer holiday destination. With a beautiful beach, mountain walks, great surf spots, children's playgrounds, local shops and tennis courts at your doorstep what more could you want. This small village has so much to offer. The house is north west facing so you get loads of sun from morning till night.
There are some beautiful walk tracks around and only a 10 minute drive in to New Plymouth to make the most of the Coastal Walkway, Pukekura Park and the Brooklands Zoo. Also on in Pukekura Park is the Festival of Lights which provides a light show and entertainment most nights in Pukekura Park from mid Dec - late Jan all for free. This is such a spectacle it is not to be missed.

Great location and the house was perfectly set up to accommodate young kids and a dog as property was fully fenced. The outdoor area was amazing to be able to sit back and enjoy a relaxing drink in the evening. Kitchen and house had everything we needed.

Great place, great little surf town

Great property, loved our stay. Well supplied and furnished. You do need to drive to the beach if you have a surf board or lots of stuff. You can walk to the pub and restaurants. Would happily stay again!

Great location to chill in Oakura

We had a great time staying at Howie's place - large fully fenced yard was good for the dog, and plenty of space to relax inside and outside on the spacious deck. Nice 10 min walk to the beach through the forest too. Our second time staying there, and we'll be keen to stay again in future

Howie's place is lovely, clean well equipped with new kitchen and bathroom and large fenced garden which was wonderful for our dog. Really relaxing would definitely recommend and hope to stay again in the future.

Lovely Place

We had a great six-day stay at Howie's place. It's convenient to all the Oakura amenities and very well equipped, with a fully operational kitchen, including spices. When the weather's lovely, the outdoor deck is delightful and when it's chilly the house is well-built and easy to heat. Howie's great at communicating and all arrangements were super easy.

Amazing stay

We really enjoyed our stay here in Oakura. Lovely clean and tidy house. Had a great feel for our summer holiday. Loved the outdoor seated area. Close to shops (little walkway way at end of street) and beach. Was great to have a fenced section for our little dog that she couldn’t escape from. Plenty of back garden area for her to explore. Would love to return again!

Fabulous set up & location

We were staying for a wedding at Ahuahu Villas. This was a superbly well resourced home with plenty of kitchen effects, supplies and good coffee. The iron & board was well used too. Quiet spot and easy access to main road shops. Thanks Howie for a great stay & dropping the jacket to me later, too.
