You can wine and dine at local hotel "Butlers Reef" or order a takeaway from Fish & Chip Shop, enjoy a great morning coffee from the local café's. The friendly staff at the 4square, chemists and garage will help you with your everyday needs. If you are looking for a gift to take away with you there is a great range available our local Chemist or The Crafty Fox.
The village offers a variety of activities; 18-hole golf course is a 3 min drive from Oakura with very affordable green fees. Go exploring in the beautiful dense forest at Lucy’s Gully, there are several walks ranging from a few minutes to 2 hours or you may just want a walk along the beaches after your activities enjoy a swim or surf at the beach.
Take advantage of the opportunity to Surf and Ski in the same day or just explore the various walks/tramps on Mount Taranaki.
