Stunning location at Little Munro Bay Whangarei Heads

A well appoi one bedroom apartment a few steps to a beautiful safe beach, modern and well presented. A great place to relax, unwind and enjoy all that our Stunning coast of Whangarei Heads peninsula has to offer.
Great fishing, kayaking, swimming, snorkelling and explore the many coastal walks or just relax and enjoy the harbour view and watch the boats come and go.
Fishing trips can be arranged or plenty of parking available for your own boat.
Only 9 minutes to beautiful Ocean beach a renowned surf beach or enjoy the great food at the lovely historical tavern at Parua Bay. The Deck cafe is a few minutes walk up the hill and the Mt Manaia club is open for meals on weekends.

The owners Roger and Di
live in the upstairs unit which is completely separate. We are generally very quiet but Please be aware that you may here some noise during the day from general activities. We are happy to provide information on all the local amenities.

There are lots of local activites, golf club, cafe, pubs and restaurants nearby . Nearest supermarket is 9 minutes drive, a dairy and cafe a few minutes away.
Little Munro bay is a quiet bay with friendly locals. Situated below Mt Aubrey and Mt Manaia just a short walk away and surrounded by native bush.

Whangarei airport is 20 minutes away and the city centre a 30 minute drive A car is required if you wish to visit nearby bays and Ocean beach but there is also plenty to see and do on foot. We are able to provide a transfer service to and from Whangarei if required.

Great location to beach, just 10 steps to beach. With fish and chips 5 mins away and a mountain to climb, fishing and walks all just at the door. The accommodation is very clean and modern feel.

Lovely spot if you are keen to stay out in Whangarei Heads

Enjoyed our stay; well-equipped unit with a super comfy bed; friendly host who supplied lots of useful information about the area including where to eat including where to purchase groceries especially over the New Year period when many places are shut. Helpful! Be sure to drive over to Pataua South (estuary AND beach over the dune) - fabulous spot for some beach time.

Luxury self-catering retreat close to excellence walkings

Located a stone's throw from Little Munro Bay beach. Very comfortable accommodation for a couple. Excellent location for walking in the Whangārei Heads area which has many good hill, bush and beach options. Large fridge, microwave, hob and barbecue ideal for self catering. Not too many places to eat out beyond fish and chips, unless you drive half an hour into Whangārei. Hosts live on the floor above and were very helpful. We had a fantastic week relaxing, walking nearby and made a couple of trips into Whangārei. Highly recommended.

Awesome location!

Really enjoyed our stay at Di and Roger’s place. The location is awesome - just in front of the beach and a lovely 30min bush walk around the coast. And a short drive to beautiful beaches - Ocean Beach and Smugglers Bay. The property was super tidy, comfy bed, well equipped kitchenette - everything you could need.

Our names are Roger & Dianne and We have returned to New Zealand to retire after many years living in Australia and 12 years sailing our 40ft yacht around the Queensland coast, asia and the pacific. Both having originated from this area we have come home to roost in the most beautiful part of the country to be near family and for Roger to enjoy the fishing, which he is fanatical about. We have both travelled extensively to many countries and enjoy meeting new people to share experiences with.
