About this property

Fantastic beach house designed for relaxation

This is a classic 50's era beach house renovated by Andy Coltart of Black Barn fame. Clever use of space, quality fittings, neutral tones, extensive windows and sheltered decks makes this house a delight to stay in. The open plan kitchen with gas oven is perfect for entertaining with everything you need to cook and bake. There is the mandatory barbecue for those balmy evenings with plenty of room for everyone on the generous deck or expansive lawn. A mature Pohutukawa hedge around the perimeter of the property ensures privacy. Close to the Waimarama store and only a short stroll to the beach, playground and Surf Club. An infinity system ensures plenty of hot water for the inside and outdoor showers. The house is fully equipped with quality linen and towels. There are two mountain bikes, boogie boards, badminton, outdoor games as well as a selection of books and board games to keep everyone entertained.

No parties and keep noise to a reasonable level
No smoking inside the house
No pets
Tents and/or camper vans only with owners permission
Boats to be parked outside the gate in designated area

The nightly rate is for up to 4 adults. Extra adults are $50 per night. Children under 2 yrs are not charged a per night rate only a one off linen charge of $20.
The Vrbo site does not allow us to specify this and will charge $50 extra per person regardless of age. Therefore, if you are charged extra for young children please contact us after you have confirmed the booking.

Simply beautiful place to stay

Wonderfully presented house in a sunny location close to the shop and a short drive to the beach. Heaps of character indoor and out. Lots to do with books, games/puzzles, bikes, stereo and freeview. Woodburner for the cooler nights. We highly recommend this place.

Lovely Beach Holiday

This is a VERY well presented property, immaculate really, with all the luxuries that you would want for a comfortable home-away-from-home holiday at the beach. The lovely bi-folding windows kept the beautiful sea breeze sweeping through and the generous decking and fenced yard was great for soaking up the sun. It was perfect for our a time away with our young family. Quality appointments in the kitchen were very appreciated (MUCH nicer than what you would find in the the typical “Bach”) and contact with the property manager was easy and prompt. The beds were SUPER comfy too. We slept very well on them. All in all, 5 stars, no complaints, would DEFINITELY recommend!

We loved staying here. The bach is in a setting that is nice and quiet yet Close to the beach and the store where you can get a good coffee or fish n chips. Plenty of room and all the comforts.

Perfect location

We truly enjoyed our few days in this property. Spacious house for our family, very tidy and comfortable, with everything we needed. Just short walk to the beach. We had very relaxing time. The owner of the house and property manager are very helpful and immediately responded to any our questions or needs; thank you Arlene and Ursula! Excellent modernised beach house in a great location

Had a wonderful relaxing time in this newly renovated beach house. You can hear the beach from the hammock chair! We had comfortable beds and excellent facilities , all just a short walk to the flagged beach area. The local shop is next door if you need any essential items. A great base for all the activities in Hawkes Bay.
