Wasn't the layout I was expecting! The bedroom is in the same room as the living room/dining room/kitchen and to make matters worse there are no blinds next to the bed with three big windows hence no privacy! When my family rents a house we expect real cutlery/plates and cups not plastic especially the spoons/knives and forks that look real because they are silver but once you wash then in the dish washer they start to discolor and you can't hand wash them because there's no sponge or dish soap provided. The garage is unusable because it is full of exercise equipment and since the neighborhood is a bit sketchy we would have liked to park our vehicle inside since we are traveling with important items.

Maria,
Thanks for the review and sorry it was not what you were expecting. However, our pictures and descriptions accurately depict the layout of the property. The property utilizes an open floor plan and the rooms are in fact separate from each other. Real cutlery was available along with plastic cutlery for those who would prefer unused silverware. We follow health expert guidelines when it comes to cleaning materials used during COVID-19, therefore, we do not offer sponges but we do offer clean dishwashing clothes to clean the dishes along with dish soap (under the sink) and a brand new dishwasher. The property is listed showing the garage is used as a "CrossFit/Gym" area, not for parking. Cortez is a wonderful town and the house is located on one of the most popular and high end areas in Cortez, Historical Montezuma Avenue, which most would not describe as sketchy, rather beautiful and safe.
We truly do appreciate reviews from those who stay with us and we take the reviews seriously to help improve future stays. However, we recommend in the future you thoroughly read through the VRBO listing to ensure it is exactly what you are expecting. If you read through our listing, you would have found that our home was not the right home for you and your family to stay. We also reached out to you in multiple instances with no response. As a host, communication with our visitors is important to ensure a delightful stay. We respond to visitors typically within the hour they reach out to us and we are always open to do what we can to make the stay with us the best it can be. We cannot help you with something if you refuse to communicate with us.
Thanks for the review and we apologize the house was not what you expected. We wish you and your family safe travels on the rest of your journey.
Best,
Darrin
