Amazing location

Spent a week at this home with our kids and had an amazing time. Owner was very responsive when we had questions and took great care of us. Kids loved having the pool available at the house. Just a short walk down to an amazing beach. We are already looking forward to another trip back to stay at this beautiful home.

You can have the resort

Villa Becune was exactly what we were looking for. The photos are accurate and the home had everything we needed. A few of the things we appreciated were the A/C units in every room, comfortable beds, plenty of sitting areas, the pool and close proximity to both Pigeon Island Beach and The Royalton Beach. Royalton Beach was a short walk while Pigeon is much further. Locals at any beach are a little pushy but with a friendly approach they will eventually leave you alone. In fact, I will call them some of the friendliest I've encountered throughout the world. I point this out as I'm sure some are skeptical when booking something off the resorts. If driving to Pigeon Island Beach, I recommend taking a right out of the driveway unless you have a high clearance vehicle. The road eventually gets pretty rough if you turn left. However, it is a short-cut and the way I would walk if going to Pigeon Island. We liked the close proximity to the Massy Store and Duty Free in Rodney Bay, The Naked Fisherman is one of the best restaurants in the world, SeaSalt Restaurant was also very good. There is always a nervousness when traveling somewhere new, especially off the resort. In this case we are so glad we did. It was an amazing time filled culture, great food and a damn good time. My advice, book Villa Becune, you'll be glad you did. PS, take care of the cat we named Nala, she's so sweet.

We had a fantastic time at Villa Becuna. Emile the host was incredibly helpful and responsive. The description of the house is accurate. It is an older construction, but the host have done a great job having all new appliances and technology ( AC, WiFi, TV, water filter and tanks, lighting, new refrigerator, etc), to make your stay as luxurious as possible. The beds were very comfortable and the house is very spacious. Kitchen is stuck for basic cooking, which was all we need it. There is plenty of great restaurants near by and good beach vendors for a quick typical Island lunch during beach days. The small beach 5 min walk from the house is not one you will want to hang out at. We went and saw the sunset but it is not a swimming beach (floor is rocky)and next to the resort pool which made it loud. The beach next to Piegon Island and Sandals resort is a 15 min walk, 5 min car drive with plenty of parking right in front of the beach. It was one of my favorite spots in the island to just relax. Once we drove there with our beach chairs from the house, we could order delicious drinks and food brought to us by a super friendly waiter that works for the few businesses on the beach. I rented a snorkel for 5 and was able to snorkel and swim right off that beach, my teenagers rented jet skis and had a blast. All a 5 min quick drive. Gross Islet location is super centric for you to discover the northern and central part of the Island. You will find what you need for a great vacation.

We work hard to keep the home updated with modern comforts while preserving its island charm, so it means a lot that you noticed the effort that goes into it. One small note on the beach just a 4 minute walk away — that’s actually the full length of the beach fronting the Royalton resort, and like all beaches in Saint Lucia it’s open to the public, so guests aren’t limited to just the small strip near the pool. It’s worth walking further down, where you’ll also find jet skis and other water sport rentals available right on the beach, plus restaurant options at the Royalton resort that guests can book and pay for directly. That said, we’re so glad you also discovered the Pigeon Island/Sandals beach — it’s a fantastic spot for swimming, snorkeling, and watersports, and we love that your family made the most of it. Gros Islet’s location really does put so much of the island within easy reach. Thank you again for choosing Villa Becune and for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback.
