Great place for a trip away with friends!

Fabulous well appointed villa in a good location where even when it rained we were sat outside in the fresh air under the veranda! My partner, I & 2 other couples came here for a week to celebrate my 40th birthday. I'd thoroughly recommend hiring a catamaran which picked us up directly from Gibbs beach just down the road.

Great Location for a Family Holiday

We stayed at Gibbs Glade Villa over the Christmas and New Year period 2014/15. The villa is located in a quiet residential area and is a great base from which to explore the island. The villa is tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable and we felt at home straight away. The local beaches are beautiful, Gibbs being our favourite and is only a short walk from the villa. We were looked after very well by the staff who were all super helpful. In short we loved it and hope to be back soon!

fantastic holiday

as a party of 7 inc 2 children we found the villa absolutely fantastic for our 10day holiday. we all loved the pool esp the kids and as you get the sun all day,the terrace was ideal. the acconodation was just as the pics and very clean and spacious the rooms and facilities are second to none and marcel was wonderfull in keeping the villa very neat n tidy would definitely recommend gibbs glade and cant wait to visit again very soon

Everything we wished for!

This was our first visit to Barbados for a family holiday with our 15 and 17 year old teenagers. The villa was absolutely perfect and the location was ideal, allowing us to get out and explore the island. Nothing was too much trouble for the GGV team, which meant our holiday ran smoothly from start to finish. I would highly recommend this villa to family and friends.

Luxury Carribean Villa

Beautiful villa a short walk away from the beach. Comfortable, air conditioned bedrooms, large patio space, great living room with large patio doors which let the breeze come down from the hill. Joseph was very helpful and always available. Marcelle was a delightful presence and we could see why she is loved by everyone. We would vacation here again.

Simply Stunning Villa

Simply stunning Villa, beautiful open living area with large patio windows that allow the breeze to flow through, each bedroom is spacious beautifully decorated with lovely bathrooms, kitchen had everything you could possibly want. The Gibbs team are wonderful very helpful and kept the place beautifully clean, couldnt ask for more. Would recommend to friends and will definitely be back. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

A lovely stay

West Coast Villa was everything we had hoped for and more. The living areas and bedrooms were spacious and stylish and the kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. The villa was secure and conveniently located 5 minutes walk away from the beach. The pool area had plenty of sun loungers with beach towels provided. Amazing!

It was truly an amazing vacation on Gibbs Villa! Awesome backyard with pool and dining area. It became our 2nd home for ten wonderful days on Barbados. Beautiful Gibbs beach with its warm sea and soft white sand is only 5 min walk from the villa. Maria was extremely helpful and arranged everything that we needed. Thanks a million! An amazing place to be

This is an amazing Villa. The location is prime. The beaches are 5 minutes walking distance. The pool is amazing and the deck is grate. The people that service the villa are very professional and friendly. Cant say enough about our experience. We were 8 adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. Will definitely come back. Friday night fish fry is a must.

Perfect Villa!

Perfect Villa! The description of the property is very accurate, and the whole place is spotless. More than that though, the villa really does feel luxurious, its design is very open, which makes it feel very spacious even with a big group. The decor is of a high standard as well. The privacy the Villa provides was also appreciated. With a gate at the front and walls all around you, its easy to enjoy the place without a thought for the world outside. The staff were great as well. Not only would I recommend the place to friends, but we plan on returning at the nearest opportunity.

Fabulous Villa

We have just returned from an amazing holiday at Gibbs Glade Villa and have to say the facilities are fantastic. Maria was most helpful offering exceptional customer service and making great suggestions to make the trip seem effortless. Once at the villa, we found it to be very spacious, even with 7 adults in the party and offered everything you need and more!! Natalie was on hand most days to sprinkle her fairy dust and keep the place gleaming and I have to say she is an absolute pleasure to have around, always smiling and nothing is too much trouble... An absolute "Gem" Cannot recommend this Villa highly enough and will certainly be revisiting GGV.

Beautiful Villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at GGV. Maria was very informative and answered all of our questions and made sure everything we needed for the baby was there when we arrived. The house was spacious and beautiful! The outdoor patio area with pool was amazing also. We grilled and ate many meals out on the beautiful patio. Everything was very well maintained and Natalie did a great job of keeping the house clean for us. Donald and Suzanne were so attentive to us and went out of their way to make sure we got everywhere we needed to, and they even helped plan some outings for us. They are so thoughtful and really personable and were a highlight of our trip. The shortcuts to the beach were great! Can’t wait to return to this beautiful island and villa!

Just what we were looking for!

We had a wonderful time on our holiday here. The owners went out of there way to accomodiate our arrival and to keep us informed along the way. The home itself without going into details is exactly as listed and had everything one would need for the perfect vacation. The pool area especially at night was our favorite place to unwind. The beaches were perfect and easy to walk too. The location was perfect for exploring the island. Hole Town is right around the corner and it has everything you'll need. Reservations are needed at alot of the restuarants we found out being a party of 5 but our favorite was Lone Star who got us right in. If you like to snorkle then Folkstone marine park is a must, very safe and a ton of fish to see. Alot better snorkling thier then off the catamarans which we also did. All in all well be sure to come back to Gibbs Glade Villa in the years to come.

Just wonderful

we chose this location as we have been to this part of the island before and were able to have other family staying in a villa close by. It is our favourite area- so quiet but so close to the beach , easy to catch buses from the main road and drive the beautiful spots to visit in the north. The property is so clean and well looked after . We couldn't imagine why we might need a housekeeper and gardener so often, but in fact it kept the house, garden and pool area looking so good, clean and tidy. The communication with the owner is quick , seamless and helpful. The kitchen is well equipped - we were able to cook many family meals without struggle, the air con works perfectly and the daytime breezes keep the house cool in the day. The little cottage was perfect for a young couple and the mini gym was used by our group. Mullins and Gibbes beaches are so close, -all in all couldn't be better. Thanks Maria.

Safe, clean and comfortable villa

Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed the villa. Everything was as expected from the photos, something that is not always the case. The arrival was well organized: We were met shortly after deplaning the aircraft (with the fast pass) and in less than 15 minutes we were outside the airport and met by Floyd. He waited until we obtained our rental vehicle and escorted us to the villa. The staff provided friendly and efficient service. The villa was well equipped and very comfortable. We had 2 younger children and it was great that we could deadbolt the doors leading to the pool for their safety. We would highly recommend a vehicle to explore the island and find your favourite beach (ours was Accra beach). Our only negative, which has nothing to do with the villa, is that we were very disappointed by the lack of fresh fruit and vegetables on such a lush green island.

Fabulous family vacation villa.

Dates of stay Nov 26 - Dec 03 2016 We have just returned from spending a week at Maria's villa. It was a retirement holiday for my husband and our family. The pictures don't do it justice. It's very spacious, clean and comes equipped with everything you need. Gibb''s beach is quiet and clean and really is a 4 min. walk. Floyd and Jackie, his wife, are always available should you have any questions or concerns. Jayne keeps the villa very clean and tidy. The pool is a great way to start and end your day. We loved it! We had such a wonderful time! Our family live in different cities and we can't get together as often as we would like. This trip allowed us to spend quality time as a family. AMAZING VILLA

Don’t even know where to begin........FANTASTIC about sums it up! Came with my family to celebrate my 60th birthday and it couldn’t have been better! The home is located just a short walk to the beach so perfect for my grandkids ( age 4 and 6). We didn’t rent a car so we enjoyed Donald’s company during our trip! He was available whenever we wanted him and taught us so much about the country! He even took us to the other side of the island and made great suggestions along the way . CeCe (property’s mgr) greeted us with a friendly smile and was available for all of our needs including g having the villa stocked when we arrived! Natalie kept our villa clean and refreshed! And lastly, the owner was always available to ask questions and so prompt on replying! CANT WAIT TO RETURN.........thank you for helping me make such awesome memories with my family!

In love with Barbados and this gem!

Myself and 6 of my family and friends just got back from Barbados a few days ago, and I don't have one bad thing to say about it. The house at Gibbs Glade is gorgeous, it is even better than the pictures. I love everything about the house, the location, the staff, the pool, everything! It is a very short walk to 2 different beaches, that are breathtaking. And a short walk to a few different beach bars. We saw monkeys the first couple of times we were walking down the path, so that was great as well! We had Floyd cook dinner and breakfast a few times, and that was also top notch! And Jackie took care of everything we needed, anytime we needed it! Maria was also a pleasure to deal with prior to arriving to the villa, so much so, that everything went seamless. I didn't have to worry about anything, and that is such a great feeling to know everything is taken care of. I will 100% be back. Barbados is a beautiful place, with beautiful people, beaches, and food. Looking forward to visiting again soon! Thanks for everything!

Perfect private villa near the beach, shops and restaurants

Excellent location, beautifully decorated and maintained, safe quiet neighbourhood, near shops and restaurants, and with lots of space. We have just had 3 weeks at Gibbs Glade villa, and can only say positive things about it. With plenty of space, the house is fully equipped with everything you need, high speed internet, beautiful gardens, lovely style of decor, and within easy reach of many beaches and Speightstown or Holetown for groceries, bars and restaurants. Whilst Barbados is different because of Covid, and many places are still closed, we found plenty to do. And having the beaches almost to ourselves, was a dream come true for us. The icing on the cake was Sophia our amazing housekeeper, and Trevor who kept the garden beautifully trimmed and cleared. Sophia will look after your every need, and is a mine of information for the island. Don't hesitate to come to Barbados and give the island and locals some support, they are handling Covid better than anywhere I know in the world, and I've never felt safer. We have moved on to another property now as we want to see all areas of the island over the next 5 weeks, but we will miss Gibbs Glade and we will certainly miss Sophia!. Don't hesitate to book!

The Perfect Holiday Retreat

This was our first time staying at Gibbs Glade Villa and we absolutely loved it! Our group comprised of 7 adults and 1 toddler, and Maria, Tonya and the entire staff were very welcoming and accommodated of all our needs. A crib and a high chair were provided for our son, which made travelling much lighter for us. The villa had very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as a fully functional kitchen, including laundry. The majority of our time at Gibbs Glade was spent soaking up the sun in the beautiful backyard and perfect sized pool. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the quiet Gibbes beach, and the busier Mullins beach. We rented a vehicle from Stoutes for 5 days, and we highly recommend it. It would be a shame to not do some exploring of this beautiful island. Nothing is too far away either, making day trips all around the island possible. We enjoyed St. Nicholas Abbey, Cherry Tree Hill, Cattlewash, Bathsheba, Animal Flower Cave (great spot for lunch) and many other beaches we visited. There are also some very good spots for dinner that are close by. Our favourites were Bombas, Jumas, and The Fish Pot. If you are looking for a cocktail, check out One Eleven Beach Bar in Speightstown, or West Bar down in Holetown. I could go on and on, but the bottom line is that you will fall in love with Gibbs Glade Villa and Barbados if you decide to visit. We can't wait to make more memories and book another trip back!

Perfect in every way

We have recently returned from a wonderful 10 night stay at GGV where we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We were a party of eight comprising of two families with 3 teenagers and an 11 year old and the villa was ideal for our group. Everything from the initial booking to the help, support and guidance offered by Maria and her incredible team was just perfect. We had had the most amazing time and made wonderful memories to cherish and we cannot thank Maria enough for all the care, attention to detail and guidance she gave to enable us to have a truly memorable experience. Maria's recommendations were spot on; we will never, ever forget the Good Times catamaran cruise where we swam with turtles - I was so overwhelmed by the experience, it made me cry! The villa is a wonderful sanctuary where we enjoyed outdoor meals, swimming and games and where we shared much laughter and far too many rum punches! The monkeys even visited us one afternoon which was a huge treat for us all. Tonya and Natalie were so friendly and always there to help if needed and Donald is such a wonderful gentleman who went out of his way to show us the local sights. It is rare today to find people who care so much about the happiness of others and we would like to thank Maria and her fabulous team for their attention to detail, their genuine care and for making our special holiday and our 25th wedding celebrations ones to truly remember....we loved every single moment and we will be back... Thank you Maria!

Home from Home (but a tad warmer!)

The pictures of the villa are beautiful , but it is even more spectacular when you arrive! There are no downsides to this villa we could find. It is extremely comfortable and better equipped than many we have stayed in. Ideally situated in a quiet area with a short stroll to the wonderfully sedate Gibbs beach, add another 5 minutes onto your stroll and you will arrive at the more lively Mullins beach. The staff could not have been more helpful and Jayne (with her cheery good morning) kept the place spotless and regular change of bed linen and towels made us feel very pampered. Floyd met us at the airport and picked our friends up also when they joined us a couple of days later. Jackie took us for a drive on our arrival to find our bearings and Chris was waiting at the villa with our rental car. Can't praise the service highly enough. Barbados is a lush and friendly island with lots of interesting places to visit. We would recommend Hunts Gardens .....what beats sitting in a tropical garden watching the wildlife listening to soothing music 😊. The monkeys visited us on many occasions whilst sitting around the pool area and it is amusing to watch the birds trying to build their nests in unusual places(the security light...did not succeed!) Lastly we would like to thank Maria and Markku for allowing us to stay in their fabulous villa and the helpful and swift correspondence for any queries or silly questions we had. The recommendations you gave us were spot on especially the catamaran cruise (a must do and you get a discount👍). We will most definitely be returning .

Wonderful 2 Week Stay

We have recently returned from a 2 week holiday at GGV. Upon arrival the house was immaculately maintained and was better than the pictures show. The pool and surroundings were excellently maintained. The BBQ was great, and we cooked on it most nights when we didn't go out for dinner, enjoying the large veranda. The highlight of being around the pool was a visit by a troop of monkeys one afternoon causally strolling along the fence. Gibbs Beach was a short walk and always nice and quiet. Mullins Beach although closer was a lot busier and more touristy, but the local rum punch was excellent so worth a visit just for that! Would highly recommend Tides, Lone Star and Cin Cin for dinner, and the Cliff Beach Club for lunch. Oistins Friday Fish Fry in our opinion is a night not to be missed but go open minded (we ate at Pat's place and thoroughly enjoyed it). Another must do is a catamaran trip - we used Silvermoon and had a brilliant day. Great crew, great boat, great food and drink. Swimming with the turtles was an amazing experience for the whole family. The reason we have given 4 out of 5 is purely because we felt that air conditioning would be a valuable addition to the main living area. This would allow the doors to be kept shut and hopefully the mosquitoes at bay, as we did all suffer from multiple bites whilst in the house. This would not deter us from returning to GGV in the future.
