Relaxing Family Vacation

We had a great time. It’s a very homey and comfortable place to stay. We will definitely stay here again. Our host was the best! She was so easy to get ahold of and responded very quickly. She made our stay so much easier. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Last Summer getaway before school.

Last minute getaway with some friends and our kids before school starts. It was perfect! The plan was to visit Hot Springs but we never made because they kids had so much fun hanging out in the lake. We all slept comfortably and were able to hang out together and not fell crowded. A perfect weekend.

Perfect for a big family

This is a great location for a big family getaway! Built right on a point, so access to the lake is very close, plenty of room (we had six adults, one teenager, two kiddos , and a toddler for our stay), there’s a wonderful patio/deck with ample seating, lovely boathouse/dock with comfy chairs to watch the kids swim. It was very nice to have a boat slip for our party barge. The owner left some mint and some drink koosies as gifts. We had a great time, and hope for a return visit someday.

Blue Roost

The property is impeccably clean which is a priority in these times. It's in the perfect location and a beautiful setting. The owners are always immediately responsive to questions. We were two families traveling together. Our only issue was the size of the kids beds. Our kids ranged in age from 14-20 and the beds were quite small. However, there is brand new living room furniture including new pull out couches. Would highly recommend this property.

Great house

We enjoyed 4 nights at the Blue Roost with our family of 6. This is a unique house with lots of space to spread out so our kids could get good sleep, which parents know is not always easy on vacation! Beds were soft but comfortable and everything was very clean. We loved being able to fish just right out the back door. It was a 20-30 min drive to pretty much anything we wanted to do. The house had everything we needed from paper goods to extra blankets to cooking utensils, etc. The only downside to this house is that there aren’t many food options close by, but we knew that going in so it wasn’t really an issue. We would definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Perfect for family vacation

This is the perfect house for a family vacation. There are 2 bedrooms with bathrooms on the main floor along with 2 large tables and several cozy couches for lounging and looking out at the amazing view of the water and the tree covered hills across the lake. The tower has bedrooms plus a cozy hangout room (very cozy couch for napping). The porches are large and have great views. There’s a very nice rock sundeck by the water… For us, it was handy to have the ramp nearby to put our jet skis in and tie them to the dock. The neighbors were very nice. Lots of parking in the driveway. There are some stairs down to the water, but they are built in a way that didn’t even bother my knee (I’ve had 4 surgeries). They are short/wide steps with landings so easier to manage. And finally, this area of the lake is beautiful and not too busy. We highly recommend bringing friends and family and enjoy all this great lake house has to offer!

Perfect getaway

We loved the house! We had trouble with the internet when we first arrived but after a quick call to Amber she fixed the problem for us. House was very clean and had extra “supplies” which I greatly appreciated. For ex: My 4 year old got a bug bite and I found some benedryl cream in the bathroom cabinet. We loved sitting on the decks and enjoying the views and swimming in the lake. It is located a ways from town and has curvy roads to get the the house but we didn’t mind driving back and forth each day. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. My kids loved the tower. Me and my husband also enjoyed staying up late and playing the Nintendo.

Quiet Area!

We absolutely love this house! It was perfect in every way. We found out real quick that the tower could be closed off and it was sound proof so we didn’t hear the boys yelling at the games. And my daughter and her friend did TikTok videos the whole time we were there (mostly on the red bridge) there is so much space that we had to figure out where everyone was; some were in the tower, the living room, the 3rd story balcony, the giddy hole or down in the water! Every time the MEN walked by the bell that is down by the dock they rang it. (Not real sure the neighbors liked it) but we had a blast! We all look forward to staying again next year!!!

Spring break

Enjoyed a wonderful, relaxing few days in Hamilton lake. House had everything we needed. Neighborhood is quiet. We ran into a slight mishap and the owner was very responsive and quick to offer to help. While we didn’t catch but 2 fish while we were there (big rain storm day before arrival), we still enjoyed fishing from the dock. The house was comfy. We had plenty of seating and kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were ok. I’d prefer king in master and maybe memory top too but they weren’t too bad. The house was about 20-30 min away from everywhere we wanted to go. This made for a quiet and relaxing time. Games for kids. They enjoyed the tower bedrooms. Overall we had a good time spent relaxing with family for spring break. We visited hot spring National park , mid America science center and garvan woodland gardens(which was our favorite). We ate a ranoldo’s in hot springs which was fairly decent. We tried bubbas brews on the way in, which was ok. Our favorite places was David’s burgers, come hungry, lot of food. We weren’t able to hike this time but I saw some trails nearby I’d like to hike next time.

We had the the best stay! The house had everything we needed and more! The kids played in the lake and had a blast, jumping off the dock. We brought our own lifejackets because we weren’t sure if there would be any and I’m glad we did. Check in with seamless and we really enjoyed the welcome basket and sample of drinks in the fridge. Thank you for a perfect stay!
