Clean house, housekeepers delayed check in as they were short staffed. It was not a problem however. Nice property, very roomy. Couch did not appear to be a pull out as advertised. Nice safe location.
We had a little problem getting in the code didn't work, but considering the tine we arrived it was about 45 minutes and we had a new code. It was a great stay would recommend.
The house was inviting and comfotable. My granddaughter loved the hammocks. The kitchen was nice and had everything we neede to cook with. The house was close to Pine Island beach where we saw an amaing sunset. It was a wonderful. Def would go again.
Quick trip to enjoy our Anniversary and Mothers Day. Spent most of our time fishing and enjoying the water. Grandson caught his first fish! Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy a game of air hockey or just relax. We live in the area so it was the perfect weekend Getaway. Highly Recommend!
We enjoyed our stay - our contact was very receptive and responded quickly. We appreciated the flexibility to allow our local family we were visiting to come over and hang out together there. There were several notes we wanted to share- some just things we noticed and some things we wanted to be sure if the prior renters did not mention, we did.- [ ] Tile in 2-door bathroom shower was off.- [ ] Front garage light either did not work or there was a switch we were unaware of to turn it on.- [ ] Not enough seating for unit that sleeps up to 14 (inside or out). Not sure if there was a second hammock but if so it was not there when we got there. - [ ] Kitchen not well stocked (no baking sheet, not enough utensils, only 2 coffee mugs…).- [ ] No instruction sheet in unit for rules and info like WiFi password, garbage, checkout checklist - I put garbage out in tan can on Wednesday night as was shared with me by the contact, and no one picked it up. We moved it back by the house with the garbage that was there from the prior renters.- [ ] Loved the air hockey.- [ ] Spacious.- [ ] Great washer dryers.- [ ] Very receptive contact.Would rent again.
Overall, this is an amazing Place to stay! We had to come in town for an unexpected funeral, and ended up staying a week, mainly due to this rental being so accommodating. It is wide open and had plenty of room for my daughter’s wheelchair. The neighbors were super nice and even offered up some fishing tips. The only reason for not giving 5 stars are - 1) the ceiling fans had excessive dust in them and desperately needed to be cleaned. 2) there was no guest book with pertinent information. Like wi-fi codes and how to operate TVs etc. 3) the beds did not have the top sheets on them. When we called about this, the person responded almost immediately and told us where to find the sheets, which were put in an end table drawer. I will say, the communication with this host was second to none! I contacted them several times during our stay, and they responded immediately! Better than any other place we have stayed ! We will definitely be staying here again in the future!
Overall we loved the location and convenience to the local boat launch, and having our own dock was a definite plus. The little kids had great success fishing off the dock in the morning, catching a variety of fish. Unfortunately, the house left a lot to be desired. The furniture all feels of poor quality, the sofa is already broken in a few places and cumulatively the house feels more like college dorm than waterfront vacation rental. When preparing to leave we also learned there is a serious discrepancy in bed and pillow quality, the "primary bed" is absolutely terrible, arguably the worst bed in the entire house; you can feel and hear the springs all night and the cheap pillows and bedding top it off. We also had a lot of trouble with the electrical in the property. One bedroom must have the overhead light on for the TV or outlets to work, other rooms you must figure out the combination of off/on to actually get the lights or fan to turn on, in this instance, labels might actually be nice. The kitchen was definitely a pain point, there are not enough plates or utensils for the people the rental sleeps and even if you manage to prepare and serve a meal, the apartment sized dishwasher is an absolute insult to moms everywhere. I have never run so many "loads" of dishes in my life, just to then hand wash a whole load more. Overall I would have to say, good house, poor owner/ management situation, this house has so much potential and could be so much better than it is.
