The cabin itself was pretty clean and organized. There was an ant issue after I got to the cabin but luckily nothing too horrendous. I was aware that the cabin did not have A/C but only three windows had screens on them so I could not get an adequate breeze into the house. I didn’t want to open the windows without the screens since I had a dog and the windows went to the floor. I did like the washer and dryer addition to the cabin.

We are glad you enjoyed the cabin's cleanliness, organization, and the washer and dryer. While we are happy the ant issue wasn't severe, we have since addressed it. To help bring in a better breeze on warmer days, we have also installed additional window screens this summer and are working to have the remaining screens completed soon. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope you were still able to enjoy the nearby trails!
We absolutely loved our stay at this property near Marlington! The cabin is beautiful and still has that wonderful fresh, new-build feel. It was spotless, cozy, and such a peaceful place to relax. We had been a little concerned about staying during hot weather since there isn't air conditioning, but the ceiling fans kept the cabin surprisingly comfortable. It was only a little warm for a couple of hours in the evening, and the floor fan we brought made all the difference. If you're visiting during the hottest part of the summer, you may want to pack a fan just in case.Guests are asked to wash their own dishes before checking out. The previous guest had missed a frying pan and a couple of plates, but with the large sink it only took a minute to clean them, so it wasn't a big deal. One thing we really appreciated was how thoughtfully the cabin is stocked. During our stay, one member of our group misjudged a step and fell on her knee. We were so thankful to find both a first aid kit and a flashlight conveniently available. Those little touches really show that the owners care about their guests. The only other minor issue was that the yard hadn't been mowed because the lawnmower was being repaired. Since it was around 90F during our visit, we weren't spending much time outside anyway, so it didn't impact our stay.Overall, this is a wonderful cabin, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. It's a beautiful, comfortable place to unwind, and we highly recommend it!
