Kowhai Cottage is a cute and cosy 1930s character cottage, a short walk down to Raglan Wharf. Packed with cottage charm, wooden floors and beams, and an original weatherboard exterior painted a charming yellow (hence the name), it has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and several decks with distant harbour views. It sleeps up to six.

The main cottage has a double bedroom, an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, and a bathroom with shower. The cottage-style kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, filter coffee maker and fridge/freezer. The dining table seats six, and French doors open to an elevated deck with a BBQ and outdoor table for six. Stairs lead down to a second bedroom with two single beds and a washing machine hidden in the cupboard. Outside is the studio, with a queen bed, ensuite shower, vanity and toilet, garden doors and a private deck for morning coffee.

The second bedroom and studio are reached by an external staircase. The studio bathroom has a curtain rather than a door, so it may not suit two friends sharing. Please take care on the lower deck outside the studio (no barrier and a small drop) and on the step inside the French doors.

We provide linen, towels, toiletries, tea, coffee, milk, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher powder, laundry powder and gas for the BBQ. You will have the entire house, studio and outdoor area. Parking is for one car in the driveway (please share cars if you can), with a narrow street for one more.

It is a 5-minute walk to Raglan Wharf for Raglan Fish, The Wharf Kitchen and Bar, artisan shops and the Wahine Moe Harbour cruise. Surfers love Manu Bay, and there is bushwalking, golf, mini putt and fishing.

- Strictly no smoking indoors. If you smoke outdoors, remove butts from the property on departure.
- Residential area - Quiet time from 10pm to 9am.
- Events and parties are not permitted without prior arrangement. Guests limited to number booked. Extra charge if exceeded.
- BBQ (if available): clean with supplied cleaner after use. Cleaning fee if left dirty.
- Rubbish: 1x full blue bag allowed. Take extra with you or use a local refuse station (see house info folder).
- Recycling: 1x full bin per stay. Extra: take with you or $25/box disposal charge.
- No EV charging.
- Left belongings: $20 minimum return fee plus courier cost.
- Motion-sensor security camera may be present at entrance door. Footage may be reviewed if misconduct is suspected.

To protect your stay and our properties, ID verification is required before access details are released, and your booking is conditional on completing it. After payment, you`ll get a secure link to the property portal and will need to verify with a photo ID and a quick selfie — access details are released automatically once it`s done. Takes a few minutes; your data is handled securely by the portal operator, SuiteOp. Failure to complete ID verification will result in your booking being cancelled. Cancellation fees may apply.
